Pretty sure seeing Slayer at a smaller venue is what led to my partial hearing loss, lol.yeah seeing any band in a small setting is fun, but seeing someone like Metallica in a intimate venue like that would be bucket list for me.

First time I saw Maiden was at Metropol of all places on the X Factor tour.
I somehow ended up back by the speakers when they started and I'm pretty sure I lost hearing when they kicked into Man on the Edge.

I saw Sevendust and Deftones at a place called Nation in DC which was about 1/4 - 1/2 the size of Jergels. Taproot and Disturbed at Recher Theater in Bmore which was of similar size. Amazing shows.

I saw Stone Sour back when they released their first album during one of the X's Big Ass Christmas bashes at Metropol. Think it was like 2012 or so.... That was a real fun show.

So this may be both the best mixed live performance and best Gojira setlist ever...Art of Dying, The Way of All Flesh, From the Sky, Love, A Sight to Behold... plus most of the usual suspects.

First Metal show since 2019 tonight for me.... Jinjer w/ Suicide Silence on support at the Roxian Theater.
Forgot how great live music is...tonight was a damn good time. Jinjer was tight and amazing, and Suicide Silence was a good opener. The Roxian is a good venue too...great sightlines, great acoustics easy to get in and out of....
I'll try to post some videos tomorrow. My head/neck hurt. I'm old haha.

Keeping the Gojira mood going...the only band that could make the line "Plastic bag in the sea" sound metal.

A perfect metal song.

Dave Lombardo, the greatest metal drummer of all-time, is once again returning to TestamenT. He’s replacing Hoglan, who stepped down.
