Glass Animals = terrific. Very "versatile" music, for lack of a better word...

I sat behind one car at a red light for two minutes yesterday. I assumed they were going straight because their signal wasn't on, but they proceeded to turn right once the light turned green despite numerous chances to go. RageSo many people won't turn right on red if there's a right turn signal sign

I had a new one yesterday one the way home. I was making a right turn at the intersection in the picture below, and some absolute maroon of a lady in a big-ass Audi SUV squeezed up next to me on the left and tried to go around me while I was waiting to make sure no cars were coming. I had to creep up past her so that I could see to the left again before turning. Then she hit the horn twice because I slowed down slightly before my next turn.

lots of poor decision making occurs at those 2 lights.I had a new one yesterday one the way home. for clarity, big ass audi suv lady was also turning right?

Yeah, it as a head-scratcher for sure. Luckily she didn't try to gun it around me and **** my **** up. It might be time to get a dashcam.

Have you seen the new ones?Yeah, no new Kindle e-Readers. They're due, though, so maybe this Fall.
The Signature has the auto-brightness to go along with the ability to change the color tone of the screen. I am still very happy with my very old Paperwhite, but I might get an ad free Signature Paperwhite when the price drops eventually.

Surprised I never received spam e-mail from them on it, no. Seems nice, but I'm actually surprised by the price. At $190, I would have expected a few more features. I'm with you, though, if they knocked $25+ off it (Black Friday, for sure), it would probably be worth it for an e-Reader.Have you seen the new ones?Yeah, no new Kindle e-Readers. I found out via my Google news feed on my phone. I have something like a 200-day streak reading on my Kindle, also surprised they didn't contact me directly.

Sequences in TV or films where a characters gets high/drunk and in order to show that, they distort the picture, use zooms, add in weird sfx, etc. I **** hate that.

Best high scene in a film is the ludes scene from Wolf of Wall Street

Midsommar was a disappointment but the high scenes in that were really well done

The only movie I liked this in was Requiem of a Dream. And I use the word "liked" loosely because the worst parts of that film still pop into my head and I haven't watched it since 2004.Sequences in TV or films where a characters gets high/drunk and in order to show that, they distort the picture, use zooms, add in weird sfx, etc. I **** hate that.

I'm pretty sure that Hunter S Thompson biopic was decent in this arena, as I recall...

Yeah. The acid scene in Fear and Loathing with the dinosaurs is pretty dead on balls accurate for an acid trip. Not in what one would see (I have never seen anything that isn't there when on acid) but more in how it feels.

Accuracy doesn't really matter to me but I do agree Fear and Loathing was a better example of it. Most instances I've seen it used for short hand because they don't trust either the actor or the script.

I've always wondered how often, if ever, actors get drunk/high for a specific role/scene where their character is in that particular state
obviously not for a first person perspective but to act in a similar manner. it annoys me when an actor is acting drunk but it's not how an actual drunk person acts

I believe Shaw was hammered for the Indianapolis scene in Jaws. But I may have that wrong
