20th anniversary. It debuted on September 9, 2001. Crazy to think it’s been that long for that and the terrorist attacks two days later.
HBO is doing a podcast with cast members, Tom Hanks, and writers/producers. That should be interesting.

It definitely doesn’t feel like a 20 year old show. Thanks for the heads up about the podcast. Subscribed.DigitalGypsy66 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 04, 2021 12:52 pm20th anniversary. It debuted on September 9, 2001. Crazy to think it’s been that long for that and the terrorist attacks two days later.

I'd stick with it. FNL is one of my favorite shows of all time. The first season very loosely follows the movie.dodint wrote: ↑Wed Sep 08, 2021 10:15 am I've seen Friday Night Lights the movie but never bothered with the show. Noticed it was on Netflix so I watched S1E1 last night. It's overly simplistic to say, but this feels like it's going to be a really long and drawn-out version of the movie. The pacing is just super slow. Funny seeing Fat Damon young and in shape.
Oh yeah, that's not the show you want then. Also full disclosure, the second season they are fighting for ratings and the storylines get a little... ridiculous.
Never seen the movie, but the show is terrific. I finally caved when my grandpa said did you ever see this Friday night football show, man everyone is sleeping with everyone, it's crazy. My wife now has buddy Garrity socks, I splurged for our anniversary one year.dodint wrote: ↑Wed Sep 08, 2021 10:15 am I've seen Friday Night Lights the movie but never bothered with the show. I actually just started re-watching last week as background noise. I’ll echo nocera’s statement of it being one of my favorite shows. Very high volume of smoke shows populating Dillon, TX. It was a very good show made great by the threat of, and then action of, cancellation.nocera wrote: ↑Wed Sep 08, 2021 10:16 amI'd stick with it. FNL is one of my favorite shows of all time. Hmmm.shmenguin wrote: ↑Thu Sep 09, 2021 8:47 pm Watched the first 3 minutes of the Rick and Morty finale and that’s all folks. Crow people…turkey people…horse people. All this season. Interdimensional travel is on the table, and they keep making earth animals into characters.
But it’s just not for me anymore. …or most people soon enough.
Just started watching this, and burned through it. Ron Donald may be the saddest character in tv history. Guilfoyle was perfected before Silicon Valley. But mostly, some episode premises are just too perfect.nocera wrote: ↑Fri Mar 05, 2021 2:50 pm Oh **** am I going to have to subscribe to Starz?
