Life of Pi destroyed my daughter. Probably did that one too young. That for my daughter and alien for my son. Can't remember another movie that really did damage besides those two. Both way too young to see them at the time. Only book that I can remember having a big scare on them was thief of always. I think it's good for kids to get scared like that from media that is supposed to scare them. (As long as you talk to them about it of course)

Well day 1 of potty training and we have a 2.5 year old who twice went #1 and once went #2. Only 2 accidents today. I'll chalk that up as a win.

Potty training is certainly a process, so progress is always good.

 That's what you got out of that video?

I sent that to my wife, and she said twins would've killed her.

Spent most of the night teaching my oldest to drive.

I've never felt more old.

So at what point do you stop putting pull ups/diapers on your kid? Just when they are mostly dry? He's doing great at it but still doesn't hardly tell me when he has to go he just...goes ionhis own

Most of the struggle in me learning to drive (taught by my mother) was dealing with the clutch, such as starting on hills and the like. Once the car is moving it's just a matter of staying between the lines, and that is easy peasy.

Unfortunately they hardly make any vehicles any more that have a stick.

Learning to drive an automatic is all about learning how much pressure to apply to the brake/gas.

I was taught to drive by my grandfather in a 20 year old standard transmission Mazda B-2000 truck. He took me to a steep hill, got out of the truck and stood about 4 feet behind me and told me to not drift back and hit him. I used the e brake and squelled tires, but I didn’t hit him.

My uncle taught me how to drive stick. I was 19, and he gave me about 1 hour in a parking lot to figure it out. Next day I was driving his '88 Thunderbird down I95 and crossing 4 lanes of heavy traffic once I got to his neighborhood. Learned pretty quick that way

I actually hit a person during my driving test and still got my license. Just how I roll.

Yeah, we'll be doing that with my son later this year. He'll be 15 in May, and we're in nooo rush to have him out on the road.

They shouldn’t have been standing there

This will probably go over many poster's heads, but I use this line more often than I'd like to admit

We put them on a night for a couple weeks. Once he woke up dry a few days in a row he asked if he could stop wearing them to bed. Had 2 or 3 accidents the next couple weeks, didn't like how it felt, used it as motivation to figure out how to hold it.

True story, I wrecked my dad's car pulling out of the garage on the way to the DMV for my test.

He was proud.

I passed.

Haha, I hit some crazy old guy who was banging on my car with his cane, the instructor basically said he shouldn't have been there and I passed.

I nipped the curb on a 3 pt turn. I failed.

Then I was 14 inches from the curb instead of 12 in parallel parking. failed again.
