That backhoe has to weigh like 20k, not including the trailer..

@dodint: I doubt you watch anymore, but Wheeler Dealers is returning to the UK this fall. Ant is probably going to have a few guest spots, but taking over for him is former McLaren F1 mechanic Marc Priestley.

I had heard it was going back. Good luck to them.

TIL that a roadway near my parents has speed enforcement cameras. Pretty sure it just cost me $100 to find that out, too.

@dodint: I found a better solution to my jack/stands dilemma:

Yeah. You can get those systems for the race cars I race. Great for wheel and brake changes, but you wouldn't catch me working under there.

A new YouTube obsession for Shyster. This guy runs a business stripping down engines and selling used engine parts. The teardown videos he posts could I think properly be called "engine autopsies," because just about every engine he buys has broken in some way. You watch along as he figures out how many parts are still good and how many are scrap:

I enjoyed that, and appreciate him speeding up the mundane parts like removing the bolts.

Swapped my summer wheels into my car this afternoon. Felt good driving around with such little tire noise.

I spent the entire time watching that waiting for the crash.

I watch these the same way my wife watches cooking shows. And the reciprocal interest is about the same.
I want to rebuild my BMW motor over the winter and keep it as a spare.

Acura finally released pricing info on the new TL-S - low $50k. Gonna be a hard pass for me, because it would have been difficult to justify it in the low 40s. $50k is just crazy.

Yeah, that's a hefty price tag. That said since I put off buying "the" new car for a couple years, I might have to take one for a test drive at some point just to try it out.

If I'm not spending $50k on a car that I actually love, I'm definitely not spending more on a car that is 'just okay' to me...Getting a Tesla then?Oh, I still think I'm going to test drive one just for the hell of it.

A friend of mine from college used to go on and on about the Acura NSX back in the day. He had a poster of one in his dorm room as well.
Well, he bought a 96 NSX over the weekend with 26K miles on it. It looks brand new, like right off the factory line. Pretty cool stuff.
He used his quarterly bonus money to pay for some of it. Guess where he works? Disney+ up in Raliegh. Guess they had a good year.

When I was 17 I wanted nothing more than an Acura RSX. Then I found out how much it costs to insure them, then they stopped making them all-together lol.

I've always loved the NSX, and would buy the newer one in a heartbeat. Coincidentally enough, I searched for some last week, but they're all crazy expensive. They apparently have held their value quite well.
