Yes, that scream was the beginning of some serious PTSD.

Like I said, I like El Camino and I'm glad I got the closure I wanted from it.

I've started For All Mankind, an alt-universe space race show written by Ronald Moore, of the Battlestar Galactica reboot. Great cast, high production values, good sfx. Already renewed for a third season, as the second season starts airing this month. What if the Soviets beat us to the moon? With the Mars stuff this week, and The Expanse over for the foreseeable future, it's scratching that sci-fi itch.

Based on a clip some bastard posted on this thread, I started watching Letterkenny. What the hell is it? What’s it about? Why are they talking so fast?

Who cares, I can’t stop watching it. So ridiculous and hilarious.

Thanks

I have about 4 episodes left and I'm slowly watching them because I don't want it to go away.

Same. I've held off on the current season, because I wanted to wait for the rest of it to drop. No word on when that's happening though. It has been renewed for a sixth season.

I thought five was the last available season. Then I finished it and there was another episode, doh.

El Camino was a very necessary part of BB canon. The way the finale positioned Jesse was this:
He has no money and his only friends are 2 junkies. He's produced half the meth in the EU and there's video of him doing it. He got his girlfriend murdered and will never be OK again. Not ever. No way no how. This is a guy who is F'd in the B forever.
Gilligan is great, but he had his head up his butt with this when he went on the aftershow and said, "I like to picture Jesse happily hitting the open road" or something like that. Ok Vinny...we're gonna need some connective tissue there, because we just saw a guy who was 5 minutes from either getting arrested or killing himself. Our brains don't work that way, where we're tortured for 6 months and then go catch up on Netflix and chill out for a while. So A) Jesse needed a better sendoff since he was marginalized in the final season and B) BB's internal logic is very tight, and they needed to fix Jesse's sloppy outcome.

...also, Walt died in that car like Tif said. Gilligan disagrees, but the guy who invented the GIF thinks it's called a JIFF, so there.

Good for hockey fans. There's a Bertuzzi joke in there somewhere that would go over a lot of peoples heads

So, Warrior fans...bad news. I wasn't aware of this, but Cinemax has stopped producing original programming meaning season two of Warrior is the last we'll see of it, unless HBO picks it up. I don't think it fits with their "brand," but who knows. IMdB still lists it "2019- " with no final year, so maybe there's hope?

But those who haven't seen it yet, the 20 episodes are well worth it. No serious cliffhangers. Also, you know how we loved the hallway fighting scene in Daredevil? Imagine that level of stunt performance in every episode, sometimes multiple times per show. It's crazy.

But good news for Expanse fans: during the latest Ty and That Guy Podcast, Wes Chatham said that he just was in a table reading - in quarantine - in Toronto, as they are preparing to film season six. That could've been weeks ago when they recorded the podcast, but it's good to hear that they are at least getting ready to film.

I’m onto the fifth episode of S5 of The Expanse. Love this show. Can’t believe there’s only one season to go and have no idea how they’re going to wrap everything up.

Indeed, yeah. It's not dead, but it needs help. HBO is probably seeing how well it does in streams and social media chatter, which is yet another reason I'm trying to recommend it to as many people as possible, haha (Justin Lin has been pushing it hard, as of course has Shannon Lee, who has a planned cameo in S3 if it ever happens). Gotta get that momentum going!

It is a fairly unique show for TV, so it's got that going for it at least. I also see they just ported Jonathan Tropper's previous show "Banshee" onto HBOmax. Maybe if that does well it'll help Warrior's chances. I'll be checking it out regardless.

Once again, 5AF, if you're looking to scratch that action itch, can't recommend Warrior enough.

I've had like 8 different people recommend The Expanse to me in the last couple months, including some here. Should probably give it a look.

I'd watch it if Frasier moved from Seattle to Boston and started drinking beer instead of coffee.

I **** loved the hell out of Dark. So good.
Maybe the best executed show I’ve ever seen.

However...the story choices starting at the end of season 2 we’re disappointing.
The alt world took me out of it. I cared about Earth 1 Mikkel, Martha, Ulrich. Etc. I wanted those characters to find a resolution. Not only did it not happen, they were all erased from existence and in the meantime watered down by a parallel world I don’t care about. I think if you introduce the Mikkel story right away, you need to see it through to the end and not swap it for a multi-verse plot 70% thru the series.
But if you like where the story went, this is like a top 5 all time show.
