I'm still kinda ass-chapped over the Wheel of Fortune thing.

Amazing. That Graffiti show was 6 days after the release of Nevermind.

@columbia was at that show.

Billy strings had his first show streaming for free last night from Capitol theater and it was awesome. Very nice bird song in there. I believe the last show will also stream free on the 24th.

Thanks for pointing this out. He has the sneak peeks archived on his YouTube. The music is definitely better than the haircut...Billy strings had his first show streaming for free last night from Capitol theater and it was awesome. Very nice bird song in there. That is cool as hell.@columbia was at that show.
When I think of my like "cool show" inventory, it's pretty small, meaning seeing bands in small venues before they became something.
I saw the Strokes in 2001 at Nick's Fat City, Casablancas.
Saw Vampire Weekend in 2008 at the Warhol Museum, as written up by a completely unimpressed Scott Mervis at the time.

And I saw Parquet Courts at a basement show in 2013.

There were nearly as many people on stage as in the crowd at The Police's first US gig at CBGB.

There is something satisfying about Lars and Metallica getting a copyright strike against them though.

That's something police have started doing. When they are being filmed making an arrest that turns violent and they see people with their phones pointed at them, one of them fires up The Beatles or The Eagles so that YouTube or Instagram algorithms will recognize the music and kill the livestream and/or have the video blocked.

TIL that Mick Jagger had uncredited background vocals on You're so Vain. It's super obvious during the "Don't you" refrain but I never made the connection before.
Music Thread
He probably thought the song was about him.

If the song really is about him, is it vanity or just insight?
