It's infuriating being a year behind on BCS. I just rewatch Breaking Bad in betweenI have one episode left in season 4. I need Netflix to put out season 5.Better Call Saul starts shooting their sixth and final season in March. Probably a Fall release?

Really enjoyed Lupin, though it wasn’t what I expected. First episode almost had an Ocean’s 11 lightness to it that was not evident in the other episodes. Also had less gentleman thievery and more murder mystery than I expected. Nevertheless, very enjoyable and looking forward to the second half. Omar Sy is excellent. He’s a big dude but now they frame him in some shots he looks like an absolute monster of a human.

Nice. It gets better and better in my opinion too.So, I'm into two episodes of this show and it's very good. Lots of action, obviously. If you want good action, Warrior is now streaming on HBOmax. Current cinemax show with 2 seasons, though its future is up in the air. Just finished S1. Everything is just the right amount of over-the-top. A lot of great hand-to-hand combat, with plenty weapon variants to boot. Like most shows, takes a few eps to really find it's footing and gain some momentum. It's a lot of fun.Just finished S2, and damn is this show fun. So many great fight sequences. Again, highly recommended for anyone looking to inject some action into their viewing lineup, especially if you enjoy anything martial arts.I've had that one in my queue, after an author I like raved about it.
It's actually based off a treatment Bruce Lee wrote for himself way back in the day but was never picked up. Apparently his daughter discovered it after taking over his estate.
Pretty cool way of shifting between Cantonese and English (as most of the cast aren't native Cantonese speakers, obviously)
It's also got early seasons Game of Thrones-level of sex and nudity in it. Living up to the Cinemax brand, I guess.
Hah, and yeah, "sin to the max" is a term that was coined around the place whenever scenes like those happened, haha.

Another angle of the language stuff I didn't realize, is that when Chinese characters are talking to each other, they speak in unaccented English. When a Chinese character who can speak English speaks with a gringo/native English speaker, they speak with an accent. Except for the main Chinese character, who grew up speaking English (and his sister as well).
Another tidbit is the guy from Georgia is about the only male lead (so far) that isn't a racist and actually is a decent human being.

Ha, the last stuff we binged was all of John Mulaney's specials. So the psycho stuff is actually the counterbalance to that. You need to start watching a lot of comedies to balance out that much crazy.

Tony and I talked a bit about it when we finished Night Stalker. All of these killers are a special kind of crazy and bring their own terror to bear on their victims and the survivors...... but Ramirez was that kind of crazy times 1,000,000. He was terrifying to look at. And he was so varied in the way he approached his..... thing..... that he was nearly impossible to pin down as a profiler. Organized, Disorganized, Mixed, assaults in public, assaults in people's homes, guns, stabby implements, blunt force, so many survivors........... His case wrapped up several years before I moved here, but when he died several local news stations ran specials about the killings, so I had a degree of familiarity with his case going into the doc.I watch a lot of those as well (was wondering about what you though about the night stalker) and would be interested in which ones you find.In the last week or so, we've binged:

The doc did a really good job of showcasing what good police work looks like (the LA County Sherriff deputies), what bad policing looks like (Diane Feinstein letting it slip that the Night Stalker wears a very peculiar kind of shoe), and what irresponsible journalism looks like (the blonde lady who nearly blew the case up). I would say of the three docs I listed, Night Stalker was probably the best in overall presentation, but all three of them are excellent studies and I recommend them all. The Ripper in particular is maddening because of the shoddy policing that was done. And Ted Bundy allows you the opportunity to hear the man's voice describing his crimes in the 3rd person, so that's fun.

The night stalker doc was good and has been mentioned Ramirez was a special type of evil.
