Evidently, women aren’t allowed to smash guitars?
Some people are very upset at it. It’s made for some good tweets though. The weird thing for me was the fake monitor.
I thought that was most of the negative comments were about?

The comments that I saw were about her attempting to smash a guitar, nothing about the monitor. But I'm sure those comments were out there too...

I didn't see any comments about the monitor. The comments I saw were about her smashing the guitar, the amount of money the guitar/monitor costs (not realizing the monitor was fake), and questioning why such a "cute girl" was "so angry."

She seems talented, and I'm all for more women in music and rock in general, but musically she does nothing for me.

Ok, main reason was when she was smashing the guitar it reminded me of the spanish housekeeper in Goonies trying to kick the grocery bags across the floor. It looked like an older person struggle

Did you know that Van Halen had another singer before Gary Cherone? I certainly didn't.
When Eddie Van Halen, Michael Anthony, and Alex Van Halen stepped onstage with their estranged singer David Lee Roth for the first time in 12 years at the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards, no one was more shocked than Mitch Malloy. Malloy, a North Dakota native with central-casting Nordic-rock-god looks and a big, radio-ready voice, says he was under every impression that Van Halen had chosen him as their new singer in the wake of Sammy Hagar’s departure from the band. Instead, within a few weeks, Extreme frontman Gary Cherone was announced as Van Halen’s new frontman.

Malloy, now the lead singer for Great White and a brand-new band called Malloy, stayed silent about his experience until he revealed some of it in a mini-documentary several years back. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, he shared his most detailed account yet of his Van Halen adventure, following our memorial coverage for Eddie Van Halen, who died last October.
Here's a demo he cut at 5150 with the band:

I know Eddie offered the gig to Patty Smyth before they met Sammy, but this is a new one. I'm not even sure if I've ever heard this guy's name before, at all. lol

I heard him mention it on That Metal Show. I'm pretty sure it was during one of those "Top 5" segments.

He may not have mentioned Malloy by name, but I distinctly remember him saying something about someone else being offered the gig before Cherone.

This is the dude who my boss bought the church from. Met him today. Super nice guy. He's staying in Pittsburgh and I'll be going over to his new studio to play some music next week.
