Buddy of mine tipped me off that someone set up a Dick's Picks super list on Spotify. Awesome background to work music.

I think they recorded another album, but felt it wasn't good. Hopefully, those songs will emerge some day. Hard to believe Raising Sand came out 14 years ago...yikes.

Is that what happened? I thought I read they were working together on another album, didn't realize it didn't take. That's a bummerI think they recorded another album, but felt it wasn't good. Hopefully, those songs will emerge some day. Hard to believe Raising Sand came out 14 years ago...yikes.

@Gaucho
This is this guy's debut album. So good. I love when the younger set figures out there's no better way to record and no better sound to emulate than late 60's early 70's analog.

for me, the best collection of songs i've come across in years. not a weak one in the bunch. he's not the first one to go retro but i can't think of another act i liked this much. he's like what alison krauss said about robert lee castleman - that every time she hears a song of his she's heard it before but never heard it before.

I'd never heard of him; but he plays in a very good band I'm a big fan of: Durand Jones and & The Indications.@Gaucho
