I think OP mentioned it in the NFL thread, but the ending of the American express tourney was a good one. I didn't watch it live but I did watch the rerun after the AFC Champ was over. Everything you want out of a sunday of golf. Tight leaderboard, guys shooting crazy scores, etc. Sucks for Finau.

He’s seeing how much the winds there affect the ball rolling on a putt so his coach is blocking out the wind with the umbrella.
Don’t go and rationalize his behavior.

jessica norda shot a 60 with 7 straight pars. cant imagine that and thinking that could have easily been 57 or 58 with a few rolls the other way

I felt bad for Tony yesterday cuz I thought it was finally the day, especially after birdies on the first two holes. I asked him Saturday if he gets tired of us asking when the next win is coming. He doesn’t get upset and has such a refreshing mindset about it. He learns from every situation and yesterday was no different. He said that he’s been working on a few things with his swing and his grip and that after Maui, he was very happy with how things have progressed quickly. However...the albatross is gonna keep hanging on him if he continually misses short putts and makes dumb mistakes like the 13th on Saturday and the 11th yesterday.

That was great how she capped off that win yesterday. Girl has been through a lot with injuries and a major jaw surgery a few years ago (which I need to ask her about because I think I had something similar). How about the Korda family - father won a Grand Slam tennis tourney, two daughters are LPGA winners and stars, son made it deep into French Open last year (lost to Nadal) and may have a shot at Davis Cup team. All three of those kids could end up in Tokyo at the Olympics.

Ha this is pretty crazy. I've always been into the maintenance side of the course, I worked on one in HS and kinda wanted to go the turf grass route but there just aren't many jobs there. But still interesting to me

Patrick Reed picked up his ball, then called an official over to claim that it was embedded.

What a NTP66.

The thought was that was Justine's account but apparently it's Patrick's and that's way funnier now

So make sure I’m understanding this:

Reed has a burner account, wanted to use the burner account to take a shot at Rory, accidentally posted it on his real account. Didn’t delete the shot at Rory from the real account, then posted the same exact comment on his burner account?

Nailed it. Actually posted the same thing on his burner account about 30 times in response to different people

New info as it pertains to Rory - the volunteer who found his ball e-mailed the Tour on Monday saying he accidentally stepped on Rory’s ball when he found it and failed to tell him. And that he apologized to the Tour for Rory getting thrown into this rules mess.

Anyone watching the WM Open this weekend? Normally one of my favorite events of the year but the lack of crowds really ruins it.

That said, some fun story lines so far. 53 year old Steve Stricker is T1 at 10 under.

Spieth is on the front page of the leaderboard. 4 under through 6 today. Would love to see him get things turned around

I've given up rooting for Speith. He seems done, which is ridiculous considering how young he still is

That 2015 season, I remember thinking he had surpassed Rory and was going to string together majors. Just goes to show how brutally difficult it is to win with all that talent out there.

It was a hell of a lot nicer to go speeding down cart paths rather than going at less than a walking pace thru the crowds. However, the people watching and the eye candy was severely lacking.
