I wasn’t thrilled about Allvin as AGM. Hopefully the replacement search is speedy.

Definitely shocking. Wish him well. Helped bring 2 cups. Hell of a guy it seems.

"I helped cover-up sexual assault allegations."
Interested to see what this actually means

Wasn’t GMJRs contract up at years end? Maybe he wanted an extension and the pens said no

I’m going to assume that ownership asked why the roster was garbo and he doesn’t think it is garbo and then here we are

Mike Gillis’ proposal for the Pens GM job was “accidentally” leaked on Twitter by his son. It’s crazy to see something like this (assuming it’s real).

Whew, I thought "Purposal" was actually in the header of what he submitted.

Wow I really enjoyed reading that.
Interesting he just so happened to have that already prepared

Honestly wouldn't be shocked if that was a resume of sorts (I'm not sure how the GM search works in relation to normal jobs) and he just swapped in Penguins/Penguins players where needed.

Molinari mentioned Ron Hextall is available....hmmm not sure I’d want that. Like hockey’s version of the Manchurian Candidate.

Hextall would be one of the best additions out there...

I am up for mikey as GM, with meow as assistant. However, I would like Ray Shero of around 2009 to perform the negotiations when the trade talks start. Gogo for Neal and Niskanen B)

Yea Hextall was fired because he had a long term plan and the organization didn’t like that the long term plan was long termHextall would be one of the best additions out there...
It would have been nice for him to be fired earlier because the current team has his fingerprints all over it

This is almost what it sounds like, at least what DK is also saying.Wasn’t GMJRs contract up at years end? Maybe he wanted an extension and the pens said no
Sounded like GMJR was on the "hot seat" and was going to see how the team did this season before they renewed him, and he didn't want the lame duck status, so moved on.

A commenter on DK's site found the Penguins press release where the extended Rutherford through the 21-22 season...which would mean next June. Rutherford himself told Ken Campbell, DK, and others that his contract is up in June. Isn't that weird though? Did they lose a year somewhere?

My theory is that GMJR figured the only to not have Tom Wilson dictate his roster decisons was to acquire Tom Wilson and when that failed he decided to quit.
