So with no fans in the stands you’d think they would make sure there are games to watch every night, at least early on.There were so few games yesterday that, by accident, I watched them all...today there's a million...
But no, tonight there is only Ottawa at Van at 10 pm. Wednesday Chicago/Preds and Ott/Van, and Friday only BJ’s/Chicago.
Tuesday and Thursday everyone else plays.
Marketing geniuses.

I may have wept at my desk watching that.
We've been tremendously blessed to have the great players over the last almost 40 years. Spoiled, really.

So....what's going on with Malkin? He seems very pouty lately (no, I didn't borrow that from DK's article today). Any reason for concern about a negative influence on his mates?

Today's watch was the 1999 game 6 vs NJ. The Jagr on one leg game to save the franchise.

I'm not saying he's great, I'm not saying that he doesn't do infuriating things, I'm not saying that I didn't want to light him on fire after that missed 2 on 0 in OT...
The idea that he's not valuable to us...or not valuable league wide is just not correct. If Letang was made available, there'd be a line around the block for him...a #1 RHS d-man with only one more year left on his deal...? Please, that's like walking down the street in a bad neighborhood wrapped in hundred dollar bills...
I'd be very surprised, even if you tried to liquidate him (which would remove us from playoff contention immediately) in this economy, if you couldn't get a 1st, 2nd and a B/C+ prospect, and probably a roster player back to offset some of the money...

All those numbers tell me that the Pens should get a very nice compensatory package for Letang. But a couple of solar flares and a solar wind to be named later will only serve to muck up telecommunications.
Blasting him into the sun jokes aside, I advocated for trading him prior to the end of his current contract signing and my opinion hasn’t changed over those years, only to be bolstered by what happened during the ‘17 Cup run. If you can get a gold mine for him now, Rutherford should strongly consider it.
