Surprised they didn't let Chytil have a go, he was dangerous

Flipping a coins: Heads, I'm frustrated beyond belief by the irresponsibility and lack of effort; Tails, I'm happy because this team could easily be 0 and 5.I'm surprised...? I guess...? I don't know how to feel, but I am glad we won...

Why would a coach put Tony **** DeAngelo out before Filip Chytil?

POJ thoughts? I thought he had a solid game. Nothing spectacularly good or bad, which is fine

I am happy to not notice a third pairing guy on his first night.

What a weird team. Take the 2 points i guess, but they're just... out there. Not a lot of purposeful play IMO.

I love when Bob Grove comes in with the obscure stats.

HCMS sounded kind of exasperated post game. Happy to win but annoyed by what they have to go through to get there.Flipping a coins: Heads, I'm frustrated beyond belief by the irresponsibility and lack of effort; Tails, I'm happy because this team could easily be 0 and 5.I'm surprised...? POJ looked good. His skating was noticeable (in a good way).

meow, if you care to share for the benefit of the group...
Check out the third New York goal...where we both commented on the lack of rebound control from Jarry...
Upon review, it actually kind of looks like it's a designed change up...dipping low and away...
How do you deal with that versus a regular, hard shot...?

After Dumo flubbed and Chad collided, at least the goal was pretty. I enjoyed it.I thought the same thing. He looked pretty impressive on his little mini breakawaysSurprised they didn't let Chytil have a go, he was dangerous

Yeah. After getting some more looks at this, I've changed my mind on this one. It is definitely a designed muffin looking for a rebound. Two things are working against Jarry here.meow, if you care to share for the benefit of the group...

One - the Rangers have a decent set-up to execute an actual rush here, so I think Jarry is starting to process that the shot he is going to face is to score; not a shot for a rebound. So he probably has his focus on the puck pretty hard. Probably sets his feet a little heavier.
Two - the shot itself is perfect for this situation. It's about 9 inches off the ice so he can't get any wood on it and has to use his pad. If that shot is any lower, he sticks that into the netting. Any higher and he catches it. Also, I think he puts a lot of trust in Marino to do his one job and grab a stick for literally a millisecond.
Jarry doesn't have many options here. I guess the only other play he could have made would be a power rebound and try to boot it hard and try to get it passed (past?) the Rag crashing. That isn't a popular play much anymore.

Ya know. I wonder if he even sees Kakko. He is the second guy crashing the net and from a steep angle
