Regarding the Randy Orton thing last night...him cutting his cheek on the ring steps made that final segment even more stupid. His cheek was miraculously healed when he was facing down Alexa Bliss since it was pretaped.

Really looking forward to the Pillman and Smith Family episodes. XPW should be interesting as well. I don't know much about the other topics so that's cool.

I'm not familiar with Nick Gage or FMW. I'm looking forward to learning something new. I have really enjoyed this series but it's mostly been new interviews on familiar topics for me.

Nick Gage is a deathmatch wrestler for CZW and other feds, but has a pretty interesting backstory even though he is a lunatic. I'm curious to how they tell his story (he robbed a bank and had some other run ins with the law)

XPW was the promotion ran by Rob Black who was in the porn business with Extreme associates and ran it with his wife at one time (Pornstar Lizzy Borden). It didn't last long, but again curious how they go through all of what went down in it's fairly short but crazy history.

Isn't that where the New Jack/Vic Grimes incident went down?

That was my first thought too. Grizzly Smith was a monster.

Watching WWE Network, you notice so many things that you never noticed as a kid. Watching the Rock Rikishi match from the November 27, 2000 Raw. Tim White is referee.

I notice White just starts inexplicably looking to the outside and not watching the action. No one on the outside, he just is intently trying to NOT look at the two wrestlers. Then, Angle jumps in and slams Rock. White turns around and sees Angle in the ring, but it was almost like the spot took too long and he wasn't supposed to see Angle. He thought about it for a few seconds and DQed Rikishi.

You could clearly tell something didn't go as planned. It was funny as hell seeing White get distracted by literally nothing

I remember watching the Iron Man match between HBK and Bret Hart. When HBK wins Earl Hebner was having a hard time fastening the title around HBKs waist, taking forever. HBK was visibly pissed off, and then shoved Earl out of the way when he finally got it. Then earlier in the match he clearly tells a cameraman to get the f out of the way. It's crazy what you don't pick up on sometimes when you are a kid.

Something else I didn't notice until I rewatched it a couple years ago was the Wrestlemania where they had both Pam Anderson and Jenny Mccarthy ringside at the main event. Pam Anderson looked like she really didn't want to be there compare to Jenny Mccarthy. Fans were trying to get her attention, and she no sold all of them. Meanwhile Maccarthy was being much more approachable.

Something I thought was amusing was they had a guy escorting them the whole time, at the end of the match he was helping Jenny out of the ring, and she kinda landed on the guy, boobs directly on his face. The guy must have had quite a day.

Johnny K-9 was an 80s WWF jobber that eventually left the business and got into some really bad sh*t. Joined a gang, bombed a police station in Toronto(?), and had several instances of murder on his resume. I think there might have been some drug trafficking too, although not to the extent of Dino Bravo.

Supposedly he also played for the Kitchener Rangers, but I can't find any info that supports it. Also claimed to have been a bodyguard for Cyndi Lauper and Jack Nicholson, but have my doubts on that one too.

NBCU’s Peacock Pins WWE Network Exclusive U.S. Streaming Rights
https://variety.com/2021/digital/news/w ... 234890954/

I'm still trying to figure out what exactly this means, but it looks like the stand-alone WWE Network will be a thing of the past. I'm not sure what that means for current subscribers yet, but I really hope the archives stick around. If it's everything currently available on WWE Network + Peacock, then sure, it's fine. If it's a neutered version, then I'm probably out.

This kinda sucks. So it looks like it's jumping at the end of March with all of the content and you'll end up with the Peacock premium tier but you'll still have to watch ads.
The over-the-top wrestling entertainment service’s existing U.S. subscribers (about 1.1 million in total) will be migrated over to Peacock Premium, where they’ll continue to get access to WWE Network but will pay 50% less per month while getting full access to the version of the Peacock Premium tier with ads.
And for those of you who want to go to the next tier up, it's ad-free.. somewhat.
Everything in Premium, without the ads.*

*Due to streaming rights, a small amount of programming will still contain ads (Peacock channels, events, and a few shows and movies).

So, existing WWE Network subs migrate to the Peacock $5/month tier. I'll hold off and see how obnoxious the ads are and if I actually use Peacock for more than just wrassling. If they're terrible, I'm used to paying $10/month for WWE so that's not a huge ask from me.

If it's all the content from the Network PLUS Peacock, that's actually a pretty sweet deal. We'll have to see what they remove, though.

That $10 doesn't sound like a bad deal if you're already a WWEn customer. I cancelled mine months ago because I just didn't use it enough. The box that I have lets me watch the PPVs but I don't get access to all of the old stuff.

I just can't see NBCU giving a **** about adding additional archive shows. The coolest thing about the Network was having access to stuff like Prime Time Wrestling, Superstars, Wrestling Challenge, and all the other territory stuff. On top of that, there was always the promise of more archived shows since WWE had a vested interest in keeping/gaining subscribers. Now that they got a fat check for a couple billion, where's the incentive to add more archived stuff? That's the only possible negative I can see. It's still a good deal for new PPVs and what's currently archived, I just hope it doesn't end there.

Yea I am really bummed out about this. With how disappointed I've been in WWE the last decade, the Network is one of the finest products any media company has ever put out. Not a fan.
