You know what really grinds my gears...
re: horn honking, it's interesting to travel abroad and experience how it's done elsewhere. China, Thailand and Brazil are all places I've been to where the horn is used more as a preventative measure rather than a corrective measure. For instance, drivers are more likely to tap their horn when changing lanes than use a turn signal. Perhaps it's more prevalent in places where motorcycles are a higher percentage of vehicles on the road?
Of course, this leads to much higher noise pollution, but an interesting phenomenon nonetheless.

It’s after 5pm on a Friday before a holiday weekend where early dismissal was 2pm and my wife is still on bullshit conference calls about stuff that isn’t time sensitive (her words).

I eliminated the "**** you" honk from my repertoire a few years ago. Decided it wasn't worth some maniac shooting at my car or something which is a weird fear of mine. Now I only honk if I'm about to get hit

This. Pair the damn phone.I still can't believe how many people I see with a phone up to their ear, in cars that I know have bluetooth. If you absolutely have to take a call, this should be the only option. Dinguses.

Had a casserole dish fail spectacularly in the oven last night. Have a nice mix of green beans, burnt cream/cheese, and glass to deal with now.

It really is. I use that all the time. If I need the Pineville/Steele Creek area and there is a hint of traffic of 85/485, I use 274. I don’t like driving it at night, though.

Nah, was fresh green beans. Only thing I can think of is that I'd never used that dish at 450 before and apparently it couldn't handle it.Was something frozen? The mess has been dealt with but what a disaster.

Could have had a crack or something that you didn't see. I had these "microwave safe" dishes that blew up one after the other if we heated something like mashed potatoes on them. Turns out the microwave sameness goes away once they're even a little bit damaged

when the AT&T guy is seen working at our neighborhood interwebs box at 3:00 on a Saturday and by 5:00 we have no interwebs. called AT&T. they said the soonest they can have a tech out to look at why we (and only we) don't have internet is Tuesday. total First World Problem but still, really??
You know what really grinds my gears...
that happened once when i was in high school. we had time warner - guy was out fixing something at our house, and the internet went out. we called time warner as the guy was driving up the street and they were like earliest we can get someone there is 3 days. while this guy was still literally driving on our street. so we went to directv/verizon internet 5 minutes later

Is anyone truly happy with the way their spouse loads/unloads the dishwasher? Probably not, no?

No issues here...Is anyone truly happy with the way their spouse loads/unloads the dishwasher? Probably not, no?

If it means I don't have to do it, I have no issues. Hell, she could do something nutty like put the cups on the bottom rack for all I care.
