I’m sure there’s a strong correlation between anti-vaxxers and people that honk for more than 3 seconds

I use my horn maybe once every two weeks, if that. But I drive very defensively, with a motorcyclists mindset. So I see the stuff ahead of time that most people don't catch until it's almost to late. So if you're laying on your horn a lot the problem is probably your own lack of attention to detail.

I had a dude almost kill me last week on the merge right before Neville island going north on 79. Straight up pulled out in front of me and didn't accelerate.
I used my horn for the first time in months, and I got flipped off for it. That's probably one of the worst merges in Pittsburgh for a highway and I'm surprised more people haven't died there.

Counter offer, doing anything stupid enough for someone else to hit their horn for three or more seconds at you and your car explodes.

I am definitely guilty of this at times. I try to be very perceptive and pick up on things before they happen, but still feel like I need to make a point. For example, coming up in the left lane, there is a car riding behind a semi in the right lane. RIGHT as you are about to pass them both, dipsht in the car moves over to pass the truck going five under the speed limit.I use my horn maybe once every two weeks, if that. Younger me would have accelerated to make a point and slammed on my horn. I've definitely mellowed out now that I have kids though.

3+ seconds on the horn means somebody damn near caused an accident, and short of throwing my wheel lock key at their head, the honking will have to suffice.

99.99% of my horn honks are from jabronis on their phones. May they go **** themselves

I've used my horn maybe 5 times since the beginning of November. Every single time has been because someone has tried to merge into me.

I still can't believe how many people I see with a phone up to their ear, in cars that I know have bluetooth. If you absolutely have to take a call, this should be the only option. Dinguses.

had to use mine today. Driving on the right side a four lane road with a median, car at an intersection pulls a U-y right in front of me and forces me to brake and change lanes

For years I've wanted to carry a bag of pucks on my passenger seat and lob them at people through the sunroof. I figure the pucks would be pretty easy to leave prints on, though.but still feel like I need to make a point.

The absolute worst driving maneuver I’ve ever seen is what I call the “jersey left” since I’ve only ever seen it in NJ
at an intersection at a red light, someone in the opposite wants to take a left. As soon as the light turns green they slam in the gas and cut off anyone who’s going straight in the opposite direction
Absolutely infuriating
lol it's on urban dictionary: https://www.urbandictionary.com/define. ... sey%20Left

Probably not

Only difference is Pittsburgh people are generally nice and it happens when they wave you on first

Jersey left? Those NTP66s use jughandles for their left turns.

The waving is what infuriates me. Traffic is a system and subjugating it with perceived niceties hurts everyone.

I’ll softly agree with dodint here. Follow the rules. Being nice is a huge pia a lot of the time
Like at four way stops. First come first serve. I give people a head shake when they try to wave me to go out of turn.

It's true. Just do what you're supposed to and everyone will get through. Sitting still at a green light out of 'politeness' f's over the cue behind you more than it helps the one car you're letting through.

i don't disagree

Since lockdown started, I've been relegated to the dining room on my laptop. Last night I decided to bring my wireless keyboard for my desktop PC out and link it to my laptop, so I'm using a full-sized keyboard for the first time since March and nothing feels normal.

lol I had no idea
I actually take issue with it being called a "New York left". I rarely came across NYers who did this and I lived in upstate NY, Long Island and NYC
