The whole thing stinks to high heaven.
Cincy should be punished for not being in the Big 10 in 1895 or joining the ACC in 1950 or whatever.

Anytime anyone besides Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, and a second tier including Georgia, Oklahoma, ND and LSU wants to put together a playoff caliber squad it would be much appreciated.

South Carolina should decline a bowl bid, because they had half their team opt out when Muschamp got fired. Joke of a program.

Get Boise State and BYU in the AAC and they are better than the Pac-12.

@DigitalGypsy66 : Why the hell does Clemson DC Brent Venables reject one multi-million dollar HC offer after another? First Arkansas (allegedly), now Auburn!!??

Venables makes $2.5MM per year as DC for a program that constantly fights for the national championship. I wouldn’t leave that for an SEC bottom feeder that is likely to fire you in three seasons and is paying their new coach $500k more than you currently make or a school so disillusioned by their place in the world that they fire a coach who has never had a losing record and typically has you competing in the nightmare that is the SEC West.

Yeah, Clemson OC Tony Elliot was supposedly offered an interview this week with Auburn. He denied it, but where there’s smoke, there’s fire...

Auburn has a pretty good recruiting advantage relative to the rest of the P5, but if you are the DC at Clemson, you pick who you want to recruit and you don't have to sell or kiss nearly as much ass.

I don't think that there are any respectable schools that would pay $500K over $2.5 million. Brett B. who underperformed in Arkansas and did not work for 2 years got 4+ from freaking Illinois. And Auburn? That's $7 million/year kind of job with likely at least $10 million starting buyout!Venables makes $2.5MM per year as DC for a program that constantly fights for the national championship. I understand not wanting to go to past its glory program like Arkansas, but I think that's Auburn is clearly one of the richest programs in the country...

Alabama just landed their 20th Top 300 recruit.
Honestly, I agree with the sentiment from last week that college football isn't quite as fun for me anymore. It's starting to look a lot like women's college basketball with the two teams at the top and everyone else fighting for scraps. The gap between Alabama and Clemson and the rest of Division I is absurd.
