Seeing them in Yellowstone out in the wild felt like I was going back in time 400 yearsMan, I always forget how large bison can get.
The resurgence of the American Bison is one of my favorite conservation stories. A population over 60 million 250 years ago, whittled down to a little over 500, back up to 31,000 now. Still a work in progress though.
I think a Winter Wren?it's a wren, bro
No idea, but it certainly appears to be a... troglodyte. TIL troglodytes are a genus of birds, ha.I think a Winter Wren?it's a wren, bro
Didn't beat the elk 10 feet from our car, but still majestic nonethelessSaw them in Yellowstone as well. First in the morning mist, then two days later at the same spot in glorious sunshine. Awesome.
Is that the place you can see from 79?Montana's Chophouse is now Cannon's. Don't think they have bison on the menu anymore.
Wooden Nickel Buffalo Farm in Edinboro is my go to. Dan is a good guy.
