As I went onto Facebook this morning, I noticed "Altoona, Pennsylvania" at the top of the trending list.

Of course the safety wasn't on. Idiot. In a case like this, I am fully OK with him losing his right-to-carry permit for a long length of time. Irresponsible.

PA again:
(Reuters) - A Pennsylvania man was helping decorate his mother-in-law’s tombstone on Monday ahead of the Easter holiday when it suddenly toppled over, pinning him underneath and killing him, a cemetery caretaker said.

My grandparents lived in a haunted house, on Beale Ave in Altoona (across from 84 Lumber). They would tell me stories about it after they moved out; I was only six or seven when they moved, and they didn't want me to be afraid when we visited.
Two stories stand out:
My uncle was (and remains) a fairly talented artist. He actually made it to the final round of 'auditions' to be a Disney animator in his 20s. As a teenager, he drew a pencil sketch portrait of Jesus wearing the crown of thorns, and had it taped to his bedroom wall. On some days, you could not pry the paper off the wall, even if you used a tool like a screwdriver. It was like it became part of the wall. Other days, it would stick out perpendicular to the wall, and no amount of force would get it to lay flush, nor could you pull it away from the wall.
The other story is creepier. One summer day my grandparents returned home after doing whatever it was they were doing. The car park was behind the house, and when they got to their driveway, my grandfather could not physically turn the steering wheel. They got to the end of the alley, turned around (with no problems) and tried parking from the other direction; same thing, wheel wouldn't budge. Now, my grandfather was a hugely powerful man. Seriously, his upper arms were in the +20" category, and there's a picture of him holding the rear end of a car over his head when he was younger. They tried to make the turn a couple more times, and the car just wouldn't turn into their drive. So, knowing the history of their house, they went to their local parish to talk to the monsignor. He agreed to come out and visit the house, not knowing the full history. When they got there, the same problem happened with the steering. So they just stopped the car and got out. They walked to the back door, and when the opened it, the temperature inside the house was see-your-breath cold. My grandfather went in, the monsignor followed...... as soon as he stepped across the doorway, he gasped and said "My lord......" and passed out cold.
I am very glad they never told me these stories when they still lived there. As it is, my worst memory of that house is that's where I watched "KISS Meets The Phantom Of The Park" (Jesus drawing uncle was a KISS fan, go figure).... which, in and of itself is kind of its own haunting.

And then what happened? Did the haunting stop? They walked to the back door, and when the opened it, the temperature inside the house was see-your-breath cold. A former classmate of mine said he had a haunted house in Pittsburgh. I didn't know about it until a friend of mine, who is also the classmate's cousin, told me recently. He'd hear crashing sounds all through the night, furniture would move, etc. He bought his stepdaughter a doll one Christmas and it growled at him. Lots of craziness like that. Apparently other people experienced it too. He almost lost his job due the stress, not sleeping. He eventually got someone to do a blessing/exorcism and said after that the problems stopped. I tried asking him about it recently but he refuses to talk about it because he's afraid it will start up again.

Don't remember the resolution of the story, wrt the monsignor. From what I remember, that's where the story always stopped.
Remembered another story..... they had an old cuckoo clock in their attic that started going off in the middle of the night. My grandfather eventually removed the guts of clock, leaving only the frame, clock face, and birdie. You can guess what happened next.

Supposedly someone made an "inspirational" Craig Adams video. Haven't been able to watch it, but that is definitely strange.

It's funny how the term "haunted house" is being used like it's a real thing.

Close. The clock would continue to cuckoo, despite not having anything inside of it that could cuckoo.

This was actually very well done. I was expecting a fan-made highlights reel with the 2-3 goals he's scored since coming into the league, clips of him getting his ass handed to him in fights, and so on...but it was actually interviews with Paul Maurice, Rutherford, HCMJ, Crosby, Kunitz and so on. Worth checking out.https://vimeo.com/124072808
