His first positive was identified in the 2nd inning. Hard to believe he was allowed to play while they verified it. That doesn't seem like any "abundance of caution" as the cool people say

I mean, this is baseball, so its not like they can take him out of the game and put him back in until they get another test.
The real question is why isn't there some sort of deadline for these tests.

How does 'MLB Security' just shrug and let him go?

I don't want to see this thread again until Justin Turner has a one year ban.

Read a hot take on it; a 2 time occurrence for PEDs is a year suspension. I think that's in this wheelhouse.
My guess is the PA gets him out of it because the protocol doesn't list that as the exact punishment.

He'll squeak through like the Astros. Nobody will care about baseball again for several months and it will be forgotten by then. Much like how the Astros didn't have to play in front of fans that hate them every day because of the COVID stuff.

Turner avoids punishment...
Justin Turner will not be punished for celebrating the Dodgers' World Series victory despite testing positive for COVID-19, Major League Baseball announced Friday.
"Mr. Turner has publicly recognized that his conduct was wrong and has expressed remorse for that conduct," commissioner Rob Manfred said in a statement. "I have spoken to him personally and I know that he is extraordinarily upset by the incident."
Turner was removed in the eighth inning of Game 6, a series-clinching win over Tampa Bay, due to testing positive for COVID-19. He later returned to the field to celebrate with teammates. Turner was asked to remain in isolation, but the infielder was adamant about joining the team.
"I sincerely apologize to everyone on the field for failing to appreciate the risks of returning to the field," Turner said in a statement. "I have spoken with almost every teammate, coach and staff member, and my intentions were never to make anyone uncomfortable or put anyone at further risk."
Why did MLB choose not to discipline Turner?
Pedro Moura, Dodgers beat writer: It seems MLB chose not to discipline Turner in part because he apologized for his actions in the aftermath of the Dodgers’ World Series win, and in part because the league itself erred in its enforcement of supposed COVID-19 restrictions. It acknowledged as much in its Friday statement, saying a security guard should have been assigned to Turner in isolation and his isolation should have been confined to the team hotel, not a side room inside Globe Life Field.

Even worse is the details of the MiLB restructure is being quietly released.
Tons of long-standing minor league teams are dead.

I'm conflicted on this. I love MiLB and going to minor league games is something every american should experience and have close by. But logistically, in the sense of necessity of player development and getting to the majors, there are too many teams. You don't really need rookie ball, short season A, A, High A.. I forget which player it was said it but really at any level you're at, there's only a handful of guys that are gonna make it to the showEven worse is the details of the MiLB restructure is being quietly released.
