Well yeah that's an easy yes. Plus, maybe she'll dig me in glasses.Yeah, I have my Pixel set to fade out blue light after 11pm.
The thing I would say is: what's the incremental cost? Is that cost worth your fiance's happiness and a potential upside to your wellness?
Say "yes" to the second one and then immediately proceed.

I've had them, I've not had them... I can't tell a difference, so I go with no. My wife likes them though.

We bought her a garbage pair from Amazon and you could tell really in a quick glance that they didn't filter out ****. Her pair now is from Quay and you definitely get that orange tint. Does it actually help? Who knows, but at least you can tell they're working. I'll probably go with Quay also.

Zenni sends you a blue laser pointer to prove the lenses work to filter out the blue when you buy them. They have a yellowish tint to the lens, for sure.

I bought a pair for my son since the school recommended them. He doesn't wear them but if he starts to get headaches on the reg, we'll see if they help.
It is funny to see him in glasses though.

The blue light filter has been turned on with my S10 for several months now. TBH, I'm so used to not having it on I don't even notice it anymore.Yeah, I have my Pixel set to fade out blue light after 11pm.

Same here. I've had the blue-light filter on my phone on for years, and I also have my new computer monitor set to a 50% filter. I don't really notice it much any more. The blue light filter has been turned on with my S10 for several months now. TBH, I'm so used to not having it on I don't even notice it anymore.

I do a lot of color correcting so I can’t really have my monitor set to filter out blue light. For me, the glasses would be an easier solution.

Should I take this window ACs out for the season or what?

Disregard. Rechecked the forecast and the little bump of warm weather I recall seeing late in the 10-day is gone. Already yanked the bedroom one. I'm leaving the office one a bit longer because of all the equipment, but it should come out soon I think.
Carry on.

We usually take ours out on November 1. We also like it to be really cold in the room and can hear trucks out on the highway when the window is open.Disregard. Not sure if this is Reddit nonsense, a generational difference, or something else. But there was a thread on r/LawFirm where the majority of people expressed that displaying professional degrees and certificates (Boards, bar admission, etc.) is considered tacky.
I figured it was just something you do and I didn't know there were strong opinions on either side. But here we are. The debate seems to be 'Clients expect to see them' v. 'You're boasting.' The former are correct in a sense, modern clients probably found you online where you're listing your credentials. And most folks assume you're qualified if they made it to you.

I thought it was required. Or is that just for medical doctors? Or are doctors not required to do it either and its just expected? I can tell you one thing: I judge the **** out of where they went to school.

There was a vibe that people who went to better schools were more likely to hang the degrees. Almost as if it was shaming us dopes that went to regional law schools.

At least, I know the dental degrees are posted in our practices. @LITT?

I did not know that. Thanks.
I WFH so this is all kind of moot. My office at work has my CISSP certificate, an employee of the quarter certificate in a frame, and another award. I need to go get those before someone tosses them in the garbage. None of my degrees are properly framed, I just have one or two of them propped up on the top shelf of my desk cabinet at home.

Bingo. If your Law degree came from Duke versus a van down the river I will probably trust your opinion more.
In fact, if your job requires you to have said license/degree, displaying them seems like an obvious way to verify that you aren't making **** up, especially when "The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely upon advertisements"

I have my diplomas and certificates up in my office (Pitt undergrad, Phi Beta Kappa, Pitt law, Pitt Law Health Law Certificate) as well as my PA bar admission certificate. I'd say at least 2/3 or more of my colleagues do as well, and I don't believe it's segregated by age. In my firm, however, even in normal times we don't use our individual offices for client meetings, so the clients wouldn't normally see them. It's just personal decorating.
I paid a lot—both in terms of money and sweat equity—to get those pieces of paper. Damn straight I'm putting them up on the wall.

i have my CPA certificate, degree, AICPA and PICPA memberships framed and hung in my office.. it was one of those things I just did because every CPA in my office did it. I don't know, my office walls would just be kinda bare if I didn't

By the way, I have two art degrees so it seems appropriate to have them collecting dust in storage somewhere.

Spending every non-working moment with someone of the opposite sex, who you literally only started talking to 10 days ago, and only physically met a week ago (and have only spent time with them on 3 occasions)...
Basically I just want vindication that they're being ridiculous and I'm dodging a bullet here lol
