Fascism is a lazy way of saying, "I don't like the way you use the power I wish I had."

"It's a much better plan."

"What is it?"

Nice response.

Obamacare thoughts:

-Eliminating the individual mandate was a good thing
-the ACA does well to serve those who are poor, but not poor enough for Medicaid
-the ACA does not do well to serve the "still not well off but too rich for obamacare" group, If you make over 400% of Federal Poverty Level (which is by no means a lot of money), you get no subsidy and have to pay the full premiums, which are not cheap
-well-off people enrolling individually are screwed. They have to pay highly elevated premiums for an extremely narrow network. At one point, my middle-class parents were paying around 32k a year for individual health care.

It wasn't just "well-off" people on the individual market who got reamed by Obamacare. I had a perfectly fine individual family plan whose price went up 300% when Obamacare was enacted.

Removing the good drivers so only the bad ones are insured only drives up the cost.

Forcing people to spend a substantial amount of money is governmental overreach. The car insurance rebuttal is flawed - you have the choice of just not driving. Whats the alternative for not having health insurance in that instance?

The cost driver comment is a fair point in theory, but in Western PA, prices have actually been relatively stable, networks have broadened, and options have increased since the mandate went away in 2018. There are actually even some new lower cost options that didn't exist.

Young, healthy people (the least likely to value paying for health care) had two options. They could either pay $400 a month for an extremely high deductible narrow network plan, or pay the nominal fee on their tax return (i think it was like $695). The mandate didn't impact them much, and those that it did impact were unlikely to go back to being uninsured.

Wasn't there something in Florida about Holocaust deniers?

https://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/2019 ... caust-fact

There was, not sure how it's a left thing, but I would attribute Holocaust denying to be more Right than anything, lol.

Denying facts, history, and/or science? Yeah, definitely a left thing.

The Qanon of the Left

If you had actually read the article, you would know that their sample size was incredibly small, given the population they wanted to generalize over (10,000 students, 200 per state).

Also leaving out the more important part:
64% of those asked believed Holocaust education should be compulsory, and 70% said neo-Nazi views were unacceptable

But you do you Freddy.
