What’s this I hear about GMJR talking to buffalo about possibly trading for Ristolainen? That has to be fake, because he’s awful.

This is tough because you might not know these guys, but would you do this three way...?
Pittsburgh gets #46, Maxime Lajoie, Matt Benning
Edmonton gets: Matt Murray and a late pick from Ottawa
Ottawa gets: Jesse Puljujarvi, Jack Johnson, and Dominik Simon

I dont know Lajoie (his numbers arent impressive), but I am not a fan of Benning. To me, this would be like trading Murray, Simon, Johnson for Ruhwedel, Riikola, 2nd.
I know that people's blind desire to move Johnson will make a lot of them say yes, but it isnt a good deal.

I have some time for Benning, but he's no game breaker certainly...competent 3rd pairing RD...
Would you do Murray for Klefbom straight across...?

If you could move Pettersson, maybe. Would be better to shoot for younger guys that will be exempt from the expansion draft.

Yeah, we won't be alone in thinking that though...I don't think Murray is gonna attract that sort of asset...
I'm thinking maybe a middle pair d-man that's on the slide or a 2nd/3rd pick and a B-/C caliber young piece if we want to get younger...

He had a pretty rough year...and I know they're under new management, but it wouldn't be the first time they gave up on a player who had fallen out of favor with them because he was given too much to do (Petry, Schultz...)

Klefbom is a left handed shot right?
So you would have Dumo, Pettersson, Klefbom, JJ, Rikola and POJ down the left. Letang, Marino, and Ruhwedal down the right. I like the idea of Klefbom but I’m not sure how that works when you consider Sully and his handedness fetish

Yeah, that's a hesitation for me too...Klef can play on the right and he can shoot, so the interior shot is nice...but I want a RD and a RHS center myself...
The "fetish" is about putting players in a position to succeed...

HCMS plays JMFJ 18 minutes a night. Until that stops happening I’ll continue to believe it’s a handedness fetish and has nothing to do with wanting players to succeed.

Yea Im totally for guys playing on their correct side. I just sometimes feel talent outweighs that in some instancesYeah, that's a hesitation for me too...Klef can play on the right and he can shoot, so the interior shot is nice...but I want a RD and a RHS center myself...

Yeah, but if your options (just for this example) are Klefbom or Benning and stuff... you go Klefbom all day.
The rumor thing last week was RH/RD Larsson being offered and Rutherford countered with LH/LD Nurse.
