A's bench coach in hot water for giving Hitler salute in post-game team handshake/bow bump line not once, but twice.

I seriously think the dork was like, "Hey, air High five!" and the pitcher came by and said come on dude, and then it dawned on the bench coach and he did an "Oh yeah, duh!" while acting it out.

Definitely looked like a Heil Hitler, dude definitely thought he was making some kind of joke. Definitely not outrage worthy. But if you think a HH is funny or you unintentionally do a HH in in the course of your day, that's a you problem.

Lol thats funny but I think coincidental, played in reference to the prior guy making an out. PNC plays all those types of songs when outs are made

I was unaware that that showboating NTP66 Derek Dietrich was released by the Reds, and now the Cubs, this season. **** him.

The sooner the old guard leaves baseball the better off the sport will be.

They should take the defenders off the field and just make it a home run derby given the outcome of most at bats now.

This. It's stupid.

Also in baseball, you could be down 20 with 2 outs in the 9th inning and still have a chance to win.

It's not like a timed sport where if you are blowing someone out with little time left you can let off the gas. If the dude takes the pitch and allows the pitcher back in the count and then they don't score a run, would the Rangers lay off if they scored 6 runs in the 9th so they didn't take the lead.

So so dumb. In any case, the unwritten rules that we played by were usually once you're up 10+. 7 run game anything goes imo. Especially in the god damn major leagues

On top of that - this isn't even an unwritten rule that I'd consider being okay. Usually things like stealing bases, taking an extra bag on an error.. 3-0 count? Swing away all you want. Pitcher shouldn't have gone down 3-0 and shouldn't have grooved a fastball expecting to get a free strike.

One of my friends posted how just last year, the Rangers let a foul popup drop because their pitcher needed one more strikeout to hit 200 Ks for the season and thus, kick in an incentive in his contract.

Voice of reason. Man, baseball makes itself look so stupid with these "unwritten rules".
