I *can* track it...I don't track it. If I did track that, Jesus, the next step is wearing someone else's skin on my face haha...that's never gonna happen, no matter how much I think some of you are out to lunch...
COVID-19
My daughter and son are getting their tonsils removed tomorrow. Doc wants COVID tests done before his procedures so my kids had the test done yesterday at Children's. They got the swab up their nose and spun around for 15 seconds. My kids hated it but found out this morning they were both negative, so that's good. Quick turnaround time though I imagine UPMC labs aren't as backed up as commercial labs.

The guy I golfed with and patient 0 went to UPMC and got their negative tests back in a day, day and a half max.
Meanwhile when I contacted CVS, they told me it would be a 7-10 day delay, which would defeat the purpose.

This is very common. It means, beyond any reasonable doubt, he's negative. They prioritize contacting positive cases. The turnaround time is 2-4 days. If someone calls, they'll tell them they're negative. But there is such a backlog right now, that it just only makes sense to call positives. Negatives can wait. This has been told to me first hand in a couple of metro areas where I am friends with medical people...he - generally speaking - shouldn't worry...My buddy got a test 15 days ago and hasn't received results. Good stuff

45 positives today in our county of 66000, by far the highest one day total.
Positive rate was 21.5% across the entire state.

Cases are back up in a whole bunch of places: Israel, the Philippines, Spain, France, Hong Kong, and Australia. Cases also seem to be on an upswing in the Asian "stan" countries and in Eastern Europe. South America continues to be a hotspot, and the high case numbers in South Africa are probably more indicative of how the rest of Africa is progressing than the actual numbers from the other countries (and even then SA is probably way undercounting).

Seems while we didn’t fully flatten the curve, we certainly Got ourselves ahead of it...

I'm not referring to the likes of Shaf but to the ones who create work to justify their existence. Like quarterly goal setting nonsense.Poor Shad.Bingo. Those people and micromanagers.Or someone might realize how useless and unneeded many of our HR jobs are so you need to come back to the office so we can police your behavior.

I work in Talent Acquisition and have always maintained I'm much closer to the operations side than HR. We always get lumped in with HR tho.
