I think basing your whole defensive positioning based on one guy is not a good ideaAnything on where he's typically positioned in relation to the bag? If he moves pretty well to the left you'd think they'd position him closer to the bag to cut down on the right movement, though I guess there's far more balls hit to the left of most third basemen than the right. Regardless, I would put him a bit closer to the bag and put a strong fielding SS (Tucker over Newman) at short hoping he can make up the difference. Then Newman goes to 2B, Frazier to the OF, and Dyson and Herredia can **** off. See, my master plan is coming into full effect.

Nonsense. When we're dealing with a big bat like Colin Moran you make it work.I think basing your whole defensive positioning based on one guy is not a good ideaAnything on where he's typically positioned in relation to the bag? I missed the beginning of the game - why are they wearing dark green trim tonight? Military appreciation night? I like the caps.

The Brewers pitcher has a 1 hitter with 1 on in the 7th and they are pulling him from the game?

Disappointed that I don't hear woo'ing in the canned crowd.

Crowd noise seems much louder on the TV broadcast tonight. I assume they are testing out various levels/mixes.

I was being sarcastic, because that's what usually happens.

Starting to wonder if Newman and Reynolds are the lineup fixtures that we thought they were after last year.
“We” is doing a lot there. I don’t think many people were of the opinion that these are guys you could pencil in for years. I think they are just competent fillers until some of the impact prospects arrive.

I feel like criticizing lineup decisions with this roster is sort of akin to debating which iceberg the Titanic should have hit. I mean I'll still do it, but we know what the outcome would be either way

I think the predicate that was served up to the fan base was that Newman and Reynolds are top of the order fixtures.
I think they are capable major leaguers, but that is much different than a lineup anchor. Like Moran is a capable major leaguer, to pencil him as an everyday player is a perpetual nosebleed.
