Reed's great day is destroying my chances at winning this pool. At this point just need to stay in the money. Thomas having another shitty day.

Man, Rahm was the only guy that really figured this place out. With his penchant for blowing a gasket he has really put his game together.

lol Jesus the comments on this. It’s difficult for me to care that the ball moved a millimeter without improving his lie at all
And god knows I do this type of **** when I golf all the time

i think the issue was that he was kinda patting down the grass to give a better lie and the ball moved in that process... also my take is that they wouldn't have called this if he had a 1 stroke lead so it was kinda just a token thing to shut some people up

Golf rules nazis are the most annoying brand of losers.

Also don't mistake my post for caring that the ball moved. I think the call might have been correct but who cares that it moved a millimeter

Under the rules, the ball moved and the correct ruling was made. But there are a ton of things wrong with the situation. Certainly no intent, Rahm didn’t detect anything (not sure if he was even looking at ball when he was making those movements), and the Tour needed to inform the players what was going on when they became aware of it. CBS made mention of it on 17 green. Fortunately, it was a blowout so any controversy was avoided. Because it was picked ip on TV and shown, it had to be a call and thats something that I thought the rules revisions had taken into account.

Let the record show that pretty much every time I have holed out or chipped in, its been for a worse score than it should have been.
The one time this year was a 196 yard par 3 where I chunked my tee shot into the trees, punched one to about 60 yards out, then sunk my sand wedge for par.
The last one before that I can remember was probably a 40 yard chip on a par 5 for bogey.

TIL:
Brooks Koepka has a younger brother on the tour. I had never heard the name Chase Koepka before.

Knew the first part. Was unaware of the spoiler though. That’s interesting.

almost forgot to post this from last week.
So our regular group is playing Moon last Tuesday. I'm playing a pretty conservative game since I decided to keep the driver in the bag since it had been playing worse than usual in the last two rounds, plus I think I had a decent game halfway through our nine. #6 comes up, which is 538 yards and is the longest hole on the front 9 and maybe on the course, so I'm kinda forced to pull the driver out. Probably my best drive of the year: slightly off the fairway but still about 275. Friend of mine tees off and just destroys it, outdriving me by about 90 yards. Using GPS from the teebox to his ball, it was 366 and landed off the fairway. With that fairway sloping downhill after about 280-290 yards, I think he could have made 380 with a good roll had it stayed in the fairway. Easily the furthest ball that I have seen driven in person.

he actually went bogey on it.What did your friend make on the hole
Shot 2: bounced on the green, but bounced about 10 yards onto the hillside behind the hole
3: chipped it short. Normally on that hole and you're in that position, the best play was to chip short and let it run downhill and end up 10 feet onto the green and play the putt. Instead, the ball died on the fringe.
4: putt. Ball broke right, ended up about 5-6 ft from the hole
5: lipped the cup
6: tap in.

Well that had to be a bad feeling leaving that hole. Relatable outside the 360 yard drive
