Thanks for the kind words to the ballers. More importantly, thanks for sharing the good vibes. Roll tide.

Sat on my Dad's back porch, smoked a cigar, and bullshitted about life through sunset. Good day.

One last solstice take. It's quite bittersweet knowing each day gets shorter the moment summer actually starts.

This spring I reached a certain point of arrested development in that I honestly still have the mindset of us coming out of winter, not that we're pushing into the peak of summer.

The good news is that the change isn't too noticeable for the first couple of months of summer. In Pittsburgh the sun sets at 8:54 on the solstice, and won't even shift back a minute until July 2. On July 31, it sets at 8:35 which still isn't too bad.

Sunsets don't go before 8PM until August 27th for yinz out in the western part of the state, which is pretty solid. We hit that milestone 11 days earlier out here.

We're camping at Keystone State park this weekend then going to Hocking Hills in Ohio July 18th weekend. Going to feel good to get some fresh air and long nights by the campfire.

Kenneth "The Baller" Kangaroo,

Pardon my dereliction of duty. I wish you a belated solstice and hope you continue to ball out in the rest of 2020.

Your pal,

today the sun will rise at 7:36 and set at 4:56. That isn’t a lot of daylight

We all know this year has sucked, and I’m so sick of it that I’m even sick of being sick of the platitudes of how much it has sucked.

Even though today will be wet and mushy in PA, try to appreciate the finer things in life. Be grateful for the stuff you like. Have fun doing something. Try not to be too miserable or snarky on the i-net.

Enjoy it, you ballers.

I’ve always had issues with SAD, though with working from home this year it hasn’t really be an issue so maybe I just hate going to work? Regardless friends of ours live in Oslo, which will get a whopping 5:54 of sunlight today. I can’t even imagine the misery.

I actually searched this thread to ask you if this is the Kangaroo's least favorite day.

I like it because after this the days get longer and longer.

Winter Solstice is not my least favorite day. I kind of like it because it is a reason to be happy.

My least favorite day of the year is the day after the last pirate game of the season. Even if I love to complain about the pirates, no pirate baseball is worse than no pirate baseball.
