We need more pirates movies? Unless she’s going to be naked in them, pass.
Movie Thread
No no, we definitely need two separate Pirates reboots being developed simultaneously.

I'd rather have pirate movies than election movies.

Yep that’s what I quoted on the last page.Wait what? There’s a second one also in development?

It’s worded oddly but this Margot Robbie project is in addition to the already announced reboot. The new project is said to be separate from the already announced reboot of the popular franchise that has Pirates scribe Ted Elliott and Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin developing the story.

The link between the ride and the movie is pretty tenuous, aside from a few visual gags. It's not like the IP is doing any heavy lifting in the films.... in fact, I'd say the movies made the ride better, more than the other way around.
What I'm trying to say is that I like pirate movies, but they don't need to be Pirates movies.

Therein lies the problem. She got naked in WOWS and everyone was like “**** awesome, gimme more of that” and then Hollywood was like “Hey Margot, everyone wants more of you, you should be involved in every movie” and then she was like “**** yea, but only if I can help produce, write, and develop AND not get naked anymore” and then Hollywood was like “**** deal baby, everyone loves you and wants as much of you as possible so we’ll agree to whatever you want” and now everyone is like “what the ****, why is she ruining everything by doing behind the camera stuff instead of just being hot on camera? These movies suck. **** you Harley Quinn.”We need more pirates movies? Unless she’s going to be naked in them, pass.
It’s a damn mess.

Sounds like I might need to watch WOWS after all.

Eurovision was wondefully weird. I dug it. Rachel McAdams is great, but the real star was the guy yelling for the ding dong song.

If I had to guess, this is mostly for "WE WANTS THE REDHEAD" reasons than Jack Sparrow reasons.Eeeeh I think I liked the pre-Jack Sparrow version of the ride more. The link between the ride and the movie is pretty tenuous, aside from a few visual gags. What About Bob holds up.
I'd like to see a horror trailer done for it. So much good material to choose from.

You need to pump those numbers up. Those are rookie numbers.Sounds like I might need to watch WOWS after all.

I didn’t have any issues with that change. The old animatronics have a very specific look and feel that Sparrow just doesn’t jive with. I find him distracting. Wow, Lethal Weapon did not age as well as Die Hard. Cheesy score (yes, I even know it’s Clapton/Sanborn/Kamen), slow motion fights, Gibson’s homophobic lines were jarring as well.
How is Murtaugh’s daughter 26 when they filmed that? She looks 15.
It’s also set during Christmas, but doesn’t get the “Is it a Christmas movie” treatment like Die Hard does.

Mel Brooks is the best.

Watched the neverending story. It is still great.

I met Mel Brooks a few times after I became friends with his daughter-in-law in grad school. My favorite part was every time I was around him, he was never Mel Brooks. He was just a grandpa hanging out with his grandson and following his orders. Always incredibly sweet to everybody and he took the time for a quick chat, but only until his grandson's next command.

How hard was it to not discuss Spaceballs with him?
