Very interested
It was great, like an out of order sitcom, the whole thing is so David Lynch, but there's one part that's even more so that had me laughing so hard. Apparently there are 2 more episodes. Enjoy

That would have been 15 minutes of my life that I wouldn't have been able to get back had I not stopped watching.

Sopranos finale:

https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-ente ... 60381.html

Alan Sepinwall [co-author]: When you said there was an end point, you don’t mean Tony at Holsten’s, you just meant, “I think I have two more years’ worth of stories left in me.”

Chase: Yes, I think I had that death scene around two years before the end… Tony was going to get called to a meeting with Johnny Sack in Manhattan, and he was going to go back through the Lincoln Tunnel for this meeting, and it was going to go black there and you never saw him again as he was heading back, the theory being that something bad happens to him at the meeting. But we didn’t do that.

Matt Zoller Seitz [co-author]: You realise, of course, that you just referred to that as a death scene.

[A long pause follows]

Chase: F*** you guys.
Still, **** Chase.

What the **** is Quibi?

Be interesting to see what happens in the entertainment world when companies learn the hard way that consumers aren’t going to sign up for every individual streaming service.

It's a subscription mobile-only streaming service which specializes in "short form" video. So, 10-min or less. They have a lot of very big name investors, so they expected it to hit big. Obviously it didn't, and now they are blaming COVID. Meanwhile most streaming services flourished because of COVID.

I only know of it because they advertise on Pluto. On the channels that put up a static screen when not airing Quibi commercials.

I really liked it; found the retrospective one-off episode to be one of the best episodes of anything I've watched this year. They even had a pandemic "special" a few weeks ago.

We’re still working our way through it. I really liked that episode but I was left wondering how it ties into the main story. Maybe it doesn’t?

It’s the first show we’ve watched on AppleTV+ but from what I hear it’s all downhill from this.

Yeah, I can't recall watching anything else on Apple TV+ to be honest. I think we'll watch Grayhound (Tom Hanks WWII movie) that drops next month.

We got it free for a year for getting a new phone from Verizon or something back in December. Not something I would pay for yet.

Really, really enjoying the content on HBO Max though. Worth the $12 we're paying for it this year.

Cobra Kai is moving its three seasons to Netflix soon. YouTube sold off all of its original programming, and won't be doing originals any longer.

I didn't even know there was a second season of it, and I had YT Premium/Red until just a week ago.

Last Chance U drops July 28, and it will be the final season. It will move to basketball in 2021. Probably for the best, as the players and schools (and opponents) act differently now the show is well known.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is going back to the drawing board in light of the recent nationwide protests against police violence.

The NBC cop comedy is already set to return for an eighth season, but cast member Terry Crews told Access Daily that the writers are scrapping all the episodes they’ve written for next season and starting from scratch. “Our showrunner Dan Goor, they had four episodes all ready to go, and they just threw them in the trash,” Crews said. “We have to start over. Right now, we don’t know which direction it’s going to go in.” (TVLine has reached out to NBC for comment.)

The cast has been talking about how to address the issues of systemic racism and police brutality in the upcoming season as well, Crews added: “We’ve had a lot of somber talks about it and deep conversations, and we hope through this, we’re going to make something that will be truly groundbreaking this year. We have an opportunity, and we plan to use it in the best way possible.”

B99 has a history of taking on issues like this, and doing it well. People like you, who don't watch the show (obviously), don't have to worry about it being blasted in your face.

Of course they're going to take on those issues. And they'll find a way to be funny while doing it.
