I went last evening alone and was the only one around. I played like 4 balls and mixed in a lot of different shots. Walked and put a heavy focus on everything. It went really really well and I think I fixed a few issues. Putted for a long time on the last hole

I watched hours of videos the other night. I had been hitting a lot of fat shots and also periodically kept hitting the ground 12" behind the ball off the tee which basically led to disastrous shots.

Found a few drills and decided i was playing iron shots too far forward in my stance and not shifting my weight forward enough. I think thats all it took.

Tee shots are a little scarier. I tried the same changes and it resulted in better contact but more of a fade. I think I'll need to make additional adjustments.

Yep good old Dum Dum. Only free course there is. It's not bad, either. Great for kids learning to play

Nick Watney becomes the first player to test positive for Covid at an event. He missed the cut last week and didn't travel on the charter. He tested negative to start the week but then woke up this morning feeling the symptoms. He got checked out and boom, tested positive. So, he somehow caught it in the 4 days between the test and today and the Tour is now working on some contact tracing.

BTW, news reports keep saying that 4 from the Korn Ferry tested positive last week. That is true but their positive was found in the at-home test and those individuals never made it to Ponte Vedra.

Apparently there's some shadiness with them saying he wasn't in contact with anyone but some players said he was at the putting green this morning. Or yesterday morning. I forget which day

Maybe it’s a bit of spin zone where it’s not an exposure because it wasn’t within six feet for more than five min

Friend came into town, so 6 of us played a 3v3 scramble at Hickory Heights on Saturday.

Despite slicing my driver the majority of the time I teed off (I only hit 5 fairways, 2 of which were hybrid or 3 wood), I don't think I've ever struck the ball as well as I did. On all but 3 or 4 holes, I had us on the green within 20 feet for birdie, and that was also with using the majority of my tee shots (I think there were 2 holes that we didn't). My only regret is that we were playing a scramble, so I couldn't see how low I would've gone, because I felt like I played well enough to get real close to 80 or better.

I had one of rhe best rounds of my life yesterday...on 15 out of 18 holes. Got 6 pars, 8 bogeys. And then one double bogey and 3 8s...

I'm not upset about ending with a 92 but it's annoying that I know I left so many strokes on the course with those bad holes

speaking of 3 hybrid, I bought this guy a couple of months ago and despite teh terrible name of the brand, the club is great. It's very hard for me to have a bad shot with it: https://www.golfgalaxy.com/p/tommy-armo ... tmchybrhyb
that's where I got mine. it's an older Taylormade that is probably from at least 2008 that I found on the used club rack for $20.

I have an M4 4 hybrid and wouldn't mind getting a matching 3 hybrid. The 4 hybrid also hits really well for me, but it's in that weird range of not being enough for my 5 iron but being too much for my 3. Like it's about a 10 yard range and if I'm already 185-200ish out, I'm just gonna pull the three out.

I found this one on eBay today but I don't know if they used the wrong pic or have it wrongly listed as a LH. Shot them a message but haven't heard back yet.

I just got a nice little SIM Max 19° hybrid in a golf club auction. Excited to try it out. $150 for a $250 club

since we are talking about good deals on clubs, I picked up two nice hybrids from rock bottom golf a few months ago and both have worked out well

I had a round like that at bedford springs. It was like 8 pars and a birdie, 2 bogies and 6 double bogies or worse for a 91 or something. i hate having anything in common with MIMH so this is concerning

yeah, that's the part of my game that I want to snuff out as much as possible: the stupid little duff shots

two of the 8s came on par 5s were I tried cranking my second and third shots and both turned into 20 yard poo shots. I am a good enough driver that I'm not terribly concerned about that right now and I've improved a lot around the green but the crappy little duffs when I'm 170+ yards out are frustrating

I know a lot of it comes down to concentration/focus

I hear ya. I'm not as good as most of you (I shot 103 yesterday). It's frustrating because I hit some really good golf shots but I am pretty sure the duffs/totally wasted shots make up at least 15 to 20 strokes. I feel like I'm so close to getting to the next level but just can't get consistent enough with how infrequently I usually play.

Same, except I’ve played a lot more in the past year. last week I shot 47 on the front, which included a 9 on a par 5. Back 9 was a 55. My drive got loose and a had a couple penalties for going OB. I’ve gotten smarter in making safer shots instead of shots that I only have a 5% chance of a good outcome, but I still have 2-3 really bad holes each round.

I had 5 3’s on the card today (looked like my old basketball days) including making par on all four par 3’s. I followed each 3 with a 6. As someone said above, effin golf.

Hah, that sounds exactly like my round. Yeah I managed to avoid the disaster hole until 12, when I had an 9 on a Par 5. The worst part was, my drive was beautiful and then I promptly hit my hybrid (normally a reliable club for me) dead right, after which it all fell apart. I waste s lot of good drives with horrific second shots.

question for those who follow sports around the world: how are the KBO/various soccer leagues doing as far as positive cases are concerned? seems like things aren't going very smoothly to start in the PGA and a lot of the college programs have had problems with offseason workouts
