Anybody buy anything this time around?

I had an AR pistol in my cart at PSA but it's a 300aac and I don't have any ammo.

NICS checks for March 2020 exceeded the previously monthly record for checks by more than 400,000. In the first three months of 2020, there have been more NICS checks than took place in any entire year from 1999 to 2005.

Are you going to run suppressed? Otherwise just get 5.56.

Brownells is prioritizing shipments to California.

The smallest quantity available for defensive loads is 1,000 rounds. Yeehaw.

The District Court's injunction of the ammo law has been stayed by the Ninth Circuit. It was probably nice while it lasted.

I bought my wife a S&W M&P 380 Shield EZ and I may not actually give it to her. This thing is so nice.

I'm somewhat surprised that no one else has come out with a gun in the vein of the S&W Shield EZ. With it's easy-to-rack slide and easy-to-load magazines, it's a great pistol for new shooters, women and other people with smaller hands, seniors and folks with arthritis or lower hand strength, etc. And with good defensive loads, the .380 is a capable self-defense round. My understanding is that S&W is selling a ton of them.

I bought it for her back in March and it just now came back in stock if that tells you anything.

The grip safety makes it almost impossible to drop fire.

All of the YouTube pewpewers I follow have said very good things about Holosun and Vortex products. But that's usually in the context of red dots, not sure if they offer magnified alternatives to something like an Accupoint.

Gun nerd friend of mine (range officer for the Chicago PD) pointed out that Sig Sauer has military (and court officer) discounts on their optics.

I will probably just grab a Nikon while I can. Supposedly they're pulling out of the rifle optics space and stocks are depleting.

I have a sig red dot, with a flip primary arms 3x magnifier on my pistol AR that I love.

I have a vortex 3x10 scope on my 16" AR, both greatly enjoy.

The place where I primarily shop was really pushing me towards a Romeo 5.
