Sorry NTP
Pet Thread
Is it just me, or has this thread been a little hyperactive for all the wrong reasons in the past six months or so?

Sorry NTP66, sincerely.

Sorry about the cat
Ours 16 and for the past 5 years or so has been relegated to the downstairs due to one of the kids being allergic and his sinuses blowing up when she’s around him. One of the great things about having everyone home is I go downstairs to work a lot and she just curls up at my feet all day.
She doesn’t take stairs as fast as she used to, otherwise she gets around fine.

It wasn’t really planned, but we adopted two kittens from the local rescue today:
They had an another pair of cats that were a little under two, but it wasn’t recommended that they go to a household with young children, as they didn’t like to be handled too much. This is the first time either of us have actually adopted/rescued a pet before. All previous cats were from pet stores.

He’s actually the shy one. My wife joked around about naming him Sylvester, but now I’m kinda digging it.

Don't get into saltwater tanks...Fish keeping is expensive
That said, our last 5-6 fish were from LiveAquaria, so they were a little pricey. Nice fish, though, and they really use a lot of the middle part of the water column.

I don’t plan on it. I personally find freshwater way more visually appealing.
I finally finished stocking my 75 gallon. Dropped $50 on a really nice apistogramma, thinking that was a lot to spend. While the guy was bagging him, I was poking around at the saltwater tanks. Cheapest fish was $50. Bonkers expensive some of them

This doesn't make any sense to me, but to each their own.Source of the post I personally find freshwater way more visually appealing.
Sounds like your LFS is expensive. There are plenty of marine fish that fall under the $50 mark.

Wait a second - did you add a cichlid to your freshwater tank that has tetras and corys in it? I'm very interested to hear how that turns out. That cichlid is very likely to try and eat anything it'll fit into its mouth.
