My wife has been watching this Flower Fight show on Netflix.

Now I thought Project Runway had a lot of... "interesting" people (it is the fashion community after all). The characters on here put them to shame

I just finished it last week. Sad day, indeed. The good news is now you can watch it all over again.

I love watching Shark Tank, but I wonder why these people coming in always overvalue their company. Almost 100% of the time when no one chooses to partner it is because they refuse to be honest about their reality.

My wife hates shark tank. She can't explain why but she despises it. Anytime I pass it on the guide she yells I hate that show! It's weird.

I’m a Charlotte guy myself.

SatC is a great show, by the way. But damn I hate how Carrie treats her friends.

Charlotte is lovely and Samantha is a good time. The other two are the worst.

Source of the post oes overboard on painting the FBI and ATF as complete ****-ups while the Branch Davidians were just an odd but generally harmless bunch with an imperfect, but charismatic leader who did some questionable things. Yes the FBI and ATF royally **** things up, but Koresch was a **** kiddie diddlin polygamist with multiple underage wives that he fathered children with.
I read a book from one of the top FBI negotiators during the incident and he basically threw his own team under the bus. So may be accurate
Oh they definitely **** stuff up to the nth degree and based on how the situation was presented in the show the opportunity to get everyone out alive was a couple days away. My issue is the presentation of Koresch as a sympathetic figure.
I wanted to feel good about this gr8 country of ours, so the obvious choice was to watch "Waco"

I didn't think they really painted Koresch as the good guy as much as they painted his followers as being 100% ok that this crazy jagoff acted the way he did. i mean, how committed to a cause do you have to be to a. be celibate while b. allowing your boss or whatever bang your wife? its asinine. but hey, at least the government learned lessons about excessive force and honesty, right? Right??????????

Also, on a tangent, its fairly common in 2020 to hear "things are getting worse." It isn't getting worse. America has been a series of calamities for 250 years.

edit: also, i loved that the dunce ATF guy looked like dave wannstedt

Am female. Love SATC. Love Carrie.

A few times she is a fantastic friend:
When Miranda gets pregnant - love that episode.
When Charlotte is going through her miscarriage issues
When Samantha has breast cancer
If anything, she's a terrible girlfriend. But on the whole, I am a fan. Miranda gets better as the series goes on. She has some terrific lines. Some of my favorites:
"I said no white! I have a child! The jig is up."
And the whole scene in the pizza joint when she's talking with Carrie about having Steve's baby.

"I said no white! I have a child! The jig is up."
And the whole scene in the pizza joint when she's talking with Carrie about having Steve's baby.
:thumb: She had her moments. But now let's look at when she's an absolutely terrible friend.
She sent Aiden to help Miranda when Miranda called her for help with her back.
She was so horrible with money and buying shoes that she needed a bailout. 2 of her 3 friends were nice enough to offer to help. Rather than being thrilled that Miranda and Samantha were in that position to bail out her **** shoe spending, she gets pissy with Charlotte because she didn't offer to help her. Which then finally guilts Charlotte into leading her $30,000
She only wants to talk about HER issues. Like when Miranda called her out on it, and so she brought over bagels. But then immediately she starts talking about herself again. Oh and she didn't even bring cream cheese.
Charlotte specifically asked her not to break up with Aiden on the day of her wedding. So what does she do? She tells him about her affair on the day of Charlotte's wedding.
She acted so hurt when she went to that new gay club with her new gay friend and he was talking to somebody else for like 5 minutes.
And her being a terrible girlfriend could be a post on its own. Poor Aiden.

All true. But - we've all done it. No one is the perfect friend. They all had their moments of bad friendship.

You're first spoilered one had me LOL'ing. That scene is hilarious - when he picks her up with the towel in her mouth. Too funny.

Also - Aiden is the worst. When he's pressuring her to get married....so cringe.

Not sure if anyone here watched Longmire but I binged the last 2 seasons over the last week or so. Good end to an entertaining, if not exceptional, series.
It's Walker Texas Ranger crossed with a a poor man's Sherlock Holmes. It belongs in 1992 given how episodic and formulaic it is.

And Wyoming must be crazy. It's supposed to be a sleepy country town.

Episode 1: investigate a dead Native American prostitute.
Episode 2: Investigate a dead Mennonite stripper.
Episode 3: Investigate an apparent suicide linked to the mob.
Episode 4: Investigate a Mexican Drug Cartel.
Episode 5: Investigate a serial child abductor.
Episode 6: Investigate a murder; murderer covered a man in steak and fed him to a bear.

God damn this is dumb.

Not a single female character has any depth at all. They're just props, like they were written by 12 year old boys.

Oh, and every word of dialogue is foreshadowing. No subtly at all.

Change my mind, I guess.

No, I agree with everything you posted. That said, I think that's exactly what the show intended to be, sort of a throwback to the "good old days" of TV/westerns where people could get murdered but nothing was meant to be taken seriously. I much prefer the True Detective style of storytelling, but Longmire has its niche. I seem to recall its audience skewed heavily to an older crowd, which makes sense.

Yeah, it really goes that way.

Put another way, it reminds me of House. Somehow the worlds most strange and exotic diseases regularly showed up in that random New Jersey suburb.

With such weak story arcs Longmire comes across like Mad Libs; or like a Dan Brown random plot generator.

I watched the first two episdoes. Meh, I don't know about this. I like the cast, just something seems off. I know they are going for absurd, but I dunno. Maybe it gets better. Does it get explained why his wife is in prison? And his daughter is 18 right? She acts like she is 13 or something
