Hit the bottom of it on the fly and bounced to about fifteen feet. Tried blaming it on the pool noodle to no avail
Spieth would have called it good and gone on to the next tee.

I hate all of you sub-90s golfers.
I played with two sub 10 handicaps today and their whining was annoying. “I can’t make a birdie putt”, well, I can’t put myself in a position to putt for birdie ya dingus

this isnt meant as a slight to anyone stating their handicaps in this thread, but rather a sweeping generalization. i dont trust anyones handicap. you have the 8 cappers that dont count shots in the wood and everything within 15 feet is good and then the 18 cappers that can shoot a 73. when you are standing over a 6 foot put with 50 bucks on the line, we will see what the true number is

That’s a guaranteed two putt for me, and three isn’t out of the realm of possibility.

played a 2 man team best ball match last year against a guy that was a 23 and we got crushed 5&4. I think they used his ball on all but 2 or 3 holes, and he had like 10 pars. It was ridiculous

Played Rolling Acres for the 2nd week in a row. 85 this time. Just two real bad triples on the back 9, but sandwiched a 50 foot birdie putt between them so can't say it was too bad.

Played a par 63 course in Banner Elk, NC (just south of Boone) Saturday. Amazing views and fun course. Probably the toughest greens I’ve ever played. Very fast, despite rain all week and fun undulations.

Nice. Golf needs more fun and less uppity to grow. I wish there was a good short course around me

we had 2 great short courses near me. one was an executive course, par 4s and 3s. you could find deals on GolfNow for $15 with a cart. next door they had a walking 18 hole par 3 with lights so you could play at night. you could get twilight times for $6. one of the rules posted at the first tee was that you had to keep your shirt on for the entire round.
I recently found out that both courses are now closed so that some developer can build $500k townhomes. all I can say is, enjoy the smell of cow manure from the pasture next door. :slug:

I grew up near two par 3s, one is now a rite aid. The other is going to be converted into homes and townhomes. Also, when i lived in philly, there was a par 3 and driving range a few miles down the road, and it is now a hospital.

Growing up and into my mid-20s, there was a nice little Par 3 outside of Altoona (Greenwood Golf). I think the longest hole was 160 yards. Man, I have some fond memories of that place. A couple really fun holes tucked up in there.

This reminds me, hoping Clover Hill is still open. I think that's one of the only small muni courses in the area.

i played my first rounds by myself in a youth league on a par 3 in New Wilmington. It was fun but they let it get into pretty bad shape and it closed a few years ago. Nothing similar left near me

Seems to be a trend. Owners probably got more money from the real estate than $10 rounds. Sucks

appreciate that. I hadn't even thought about it. 90 minute drive for me so it's a no-brainer to put in every year.

very cool but if he wants to sell them to any courses in the south he needs to put a roof on it.
