PSU with a sweep of Wisconsin and jump up to #6... They're going to score a lot of goals this year and are going to be fun as hell to watch. Hope to make it to a game at some point.

The kid Penn State is getting next year from Madison...Ryan Kirwan...has one of the best wrist shots I've ever seen in American junior hockey. He does almost nothing else. But holy buckets, it's a rocket...he was demonstrably undercounted at taking over 200 shots on goal in 50 games this year on a team that won like 10 games and is a complete sideshow...there's only two other players that even got passed 170 in the U-show this year...

Alabama Huntsville has decided to fold up their hockey team. It was remarkable that they had the program for as long as they did.
There is some water cooler talk that some other programs are in danger as well. I haven't heard exactly who, but I'd be thinking about St. Lawrence, Lake Superior State, maybe the Alaskan schools.

I always liked Lake Superior State because it seemed ridiculously that they had a program.
Meanwhile LIU is still trying to have a D1 program in place for next season.
