I've known that the Emperor was alive in a clone body since 1985 or so. I don't understand why people are so surprised by it.

It's not that it is a thing that is galling. It's the execution.

So they new season of Clone Wars felt underwhelming through the first storylines: Bad Batch and the spice traders.

But once they got to the Mandalore storyline, it's very much like Rebels at its peak. Ahsoka is awesome, and I hope she is in The Mandalorian.

They redid the opening sequence to Clone Wars to look like the original (original) trilogy, right down to the original Lucasfilm logo.

I'm still having a rough time getting into this. I think I'll end up just watching the essential storylines episodes

@eddysnake , I've been slowly making my way through this list: https://www.polygon.com/2020/2/20/21144 ... e-season-7 that DG provided.

In the Mandalorian, did they ever explain who walked up to Ming-Na Wen's body?

As I type that I think that I asked that before.

No......
but it's pretty heavily hinted that it's Boba Fett. Story takes place on Tatooine, he has the spur/jangle sound when he walks, etc. I don't necessarily need a Boba Fett story (he's not an actual Mandalorian), but I liked the Ming-Na character and want to see how she's paid off.

Michael Biehn is supposed to play a bounty Hunter that has a history with Mando in S2. Could be him.

Him being a clone makes it so he isn't an actual Mandalorian? Or because he wasn't trained properly?

Jango wasn't a Mandalorian, either. He was regarded as nothing more than a common mercenary. (It's a Clone Wars episode)

But remember, Mandalorian is a creed not a race or bloodline. Neither he nor Boba ever swore the oath or lived as Mandalorians..... but if Boba is alive in the timeline of the show, he could yet learn and follow The Way.

That's what I saw about a month ago, but strangely there hasn't been confirmation. Rumors have him as a bounty Hunter from Mando's past to Agent Kallus...

Any news on if season 2 is going to be delayed with all of this going on?

If what I read is accurate, seems like the initial shooting is done, but obviously lots more go on after that.

I thought they were already prepping on S3. Could have sworn I read S2 was done before this all started

Filming for S2 wrapped in March. On Disney’s earnings call last week they said it will be on Disney+ in October. Shortly after the earnings call Variety had an exclusive report revealing that pre-production on S3 was well underway.

I certainly hope the new season will be out in October, but I'll wait til a little closer to autumn before getting my hopes up. Unless they completely revamped the way the do the VFX (they did a lot of practical model work in Se1), I don't know how they would've been able to finish the episodes.

#Order66 is trending on Twitter this morning, so Clone Wars is going to get interesting, I’d imagine.

New episode today and then on Monday (May the Fourth n’at)

Outside of the surprise that the main character was male... :pop:

I was just happy to have more stories from that "world" that were actually directed at adults, not just shows that thirsty adults could tolerate.

This might come across as a contrarian hot take, but it seems obvious to me that the best film in the Star Wars series is, in fact, Star Wars. (I know we’re supposed to call it ‘A New Hope’ these days, but it was called Star Wars when it came out in 1977, so that’s good enough for me.
Save yourself the trouble and stop reading at this point in the essay, which is - let me count - the second paragraph.
