Alexander O'Neal was originally slated to be the lead singer of The Time. He made the mistake of arguing with Prince about money and got his ass fired.

Thus Morris Day took his place and they became the Greatest Band in the World.... the MF'n Time!

Well here comes Flo with the crazy whip appeal
And I'm all true man like Alexander O'Neal
Is this really love, then again how would I know
After all this time trying to be a super ho
She finally played me, but yo I'd find another
'Cause I got the crazy game and yo, I'm smooth like butter

Oh, well, that’s very different.

Thought you were disparaging the good name of Ultraman.

I'm an amateur architecture buff.... From the mid 60s to the mid 70s, the Gulf building in Houston had a rotating Gulf Oil sign on top of it. I happened to be watching the weird ass Robert Altman movie Brewster McCloud on TCM the other night. It has great shots of the city and moreover, the Astrodome. But in one of the opening shots of the skyline, there's my Houston office at One Shell Center, brand new at the time, and... wait is that a big ass Gulf logo? I think the sign is cool but doesn't belong on that building. Definitely prefer the weather lights on top of our Gulf Tower.

This photo is pre One Shell- it is now two blocks towards the camera from the Bank of the Southwest with a parking lot in between.

Funny you say that, I actually just learned this a month or two ago. I live about 25 minutes from there, planning on taking a drive up next weekend to visit his grave with my daughter.

Yeah, I bought that car in Ephrata and had no idea. Would have liked to have made a little side tripnwhile I was there.
