Who wrote this?Whatever happened with this?I'm pretty sure I know what most of the (serious) responses here will be but I just need my opinion validated on this:
my 20 year old niece wants to fly to Dallas by herself to meet some guy that she chats with on the interwebs. her dad and I are trying to convince her that this is not safe. the basic story is that this guy (supposedly the same age) is joining the Navy soon and they want to meet up before that happens. she says that his parents won't let him fly to ATL to meet her so he bought her an airline ticket to come to Dallas and see him. maybe I watch too much SVU but this throws up all kinds of red flags for me.
thoughts? suggestions? concerns?

One of the upstairs neighbors made me brownies at some point between Friday and today as a thank you for grabbing a package that was delivered to the wrong door while it was raining. She left them outside our front door.
I did not find them until this morning (because I haven't left the house since Friday). The cling wrap was blown off and the brownies were frozen solid.
Assuming they thaw, safe to eat? I don't want to waste a nice gesture but also don't want to eat something that may have been sitting there uncovered since like Monday. Also don't know why she didn't just put them on the washing machine and knock on our back door.

Then they would have remained upstairs and eaten properly...

Yeah that's a hard no. If she gave them to you on a platter, give it a week or so and return the platter to her, thanking her for the nice gesture. She doesn't need to know they were ruined.

Yeah they were on a plate. I'll return the plate after work. Wasn't planning on eating them but in the off chance they'd be salvageable I figured I'd ask (which I guess is the point of the thread)

They're brownies. They're not going to spoil and make you ill. Worst that could happen is they're stale and taste like cardboard.

I can't remember what it was but Tony asked a very similar question a while ago. IIRC he went against the wisdom and ate whatever it was.
He left milk on the counter overnight or something.

Orange juice. And I was fine.

But if there's even a question about whether or not food is safe to consume, why would you consume it? Do you REALLY need a damn brownie or old glass of OJ?
I need a ruling on this
I wouldn’t worry about any spoilage. Only worry would be what might have gotten on them in those four days.

Double win. You got to drink the OJ and you were right. Satisfying.Orange juice. And I was fine.

In our current situation, what is the number of days I can consecutively wear the same pair of sweatpants?

Portnoy is going one pair for the whole Q. So you're good for whatever really...I'm not in a hurry to do a lot of laundry when I'm just sitting around.
