One of my favorite indie rock bands from the 90’s is releasing new music for the first time in 21 years.

This is an awesome concept and I love that music can bridge people together from across the world. Ringo is just one hell of a dude.
That said, I am on Team Helm. Robertson was always a d1ck.

One of my if-you-were-stranded-on-a-deserted-island-and-could-only-have-five-albums-for-the-rest-of-your-life picks. So many different styles of music and varied songwriting.
Yes, it's a double album and I'm cheating. Sod off.

Why would that be cheating?
Music Thread
Because it's basically using one selection to get two albums' worth of repertoire. Sort of goes against the 5-album limit of the question.
If I submitted my five picks and they were Physical Graffiti, The White Album, Songs In The Key Of Life, Exile On Main Street, and The River...... I mean, I'd have a lot of great music, but I'd also get it by basically having ten albums instead of five. So it cheats the conceit of the question.

No, you'd have five albums. Don't be silly.

Mine would be Now That's What I Call Music volumes 1-5.

I love those old studio country shows. Is that the Jimmy Dean Show? Or Tex Ritter's Ranch Party maybe?

My college roommate traveled the country and saw them like five or six times. He was also at the Atlantic Records 40th anniversary concert, which was the first time P&P had played together in several years at that point. He moved to Altoona to go to rehab, and his then-girlfriend is now married to Roy Harper (as in the Led Zep song "Hat's Off To (Roy) Harper"). We met as classmates in Poli-Sci 014 at PSU Altoona. He now lives in Singapore and is the VP of Asia Touring for Live Nation and gets to travel with bands like U2. I keep telling him he needs to pitch his life story as a Netflix show or something. Maybe write a book.I saw that Page and Plant tour. Good stuff. Opened with an incredible version of Immigrant Song.
