For me I'm not a big horror/suspense guy. There has to be something else in there for me to watch.

Yeah, I’m not into horror. But the kids are about the same age I was in 1984-5 when it takes place. I played D & D, messed around on early PCs, video games, same comic books, and so on. These cultural touchstones are what drew me to the show and keep me watching. I do enjoy it, but don’t think I would have bothered with it if was set in another time period. Except maybe WWII. Because y’all know how I am about WWII.

Not to mention they used Planck’s constant from today which is different from planck’s constant in the 80’s! Idiots...

They haven't started filming yet? Does this mean they will be premiering Halloween again?

Hey, I'm glad to see Hop back. I wasn't 100% convinced he'd be back. Honestly, wouldn't shock me if this teaser ends up being some stupid dream sequence and he really is gone.

Didn't they basically tell us he was alive at the end of season 3?

Yes. This is a spoiler for people that think wrestling is real and Agent Keen died on The Blacklist.

Sure, it was implied. But there were also thoughts that it could be the original scientist guy (whose name is escaping me now) that did the experiments on El in S1.

I'm not saying it wasn't obvious, but there was the potential for a curveball is all. Still could be. Who knows.
