The bad news is that you named 6 guys, two of which are coming off tommy john surgery, two of which are kind of good (kela, crick maybe), Michael feliz craps himself when it is a remotely high leverage situation, and richrod, who I really don't know what to make of.Crick, Feliz, kela, and Richrod should all be decent. Kuhl and Santana are wild cards. The bullpen sucked ass last year and you don't need another year (or a lot of money) to figure out if it can be fixed.
Just dont make me watch guys like Geoff Hartlieb accumulate a 9.00 ERA over 35 innings.

Kyle Crick also sucked last year. He's more of a wildcard than RichRod IMO.
Especially considering that the absence of Vazquez moves everyone up in the BP order. No 8th inning guy, Kela as a closer that can maybe be competent, Feliz likely starting the year in a high leverage role.

So they went from Blass, Walk, Wehner with Greg Brown/Joe Block to Young, Capps, McKenry, Wehner, Walk with Brown/Block.
That's too damn many analysts. I know it's a long season, but yikes.
Come to think of it, it's doubtful I'll watch many games this season anyway.

Honest question: Am I a terrible fan or are they very similar to past jerseys?

I think they used the script greys in the 90s.

Gotta do something to stay relevant when the team is so shitty. People will gobble them up too.

There's a good article in the Post about how complex the signs used by Nationals pitching staff were for the WS. They won all four games there.

Another takeaway from that Stallings quote is that the players can't stomach the Pirates broadcast crew

I’m in the process of drinking a goose island bourbon county stout so I’m getting ornery. The pirates are going to suck this year and If Cherrington is genuine about this “well lets see if we can use a magic touch to make these guys not suck” approach, then f that guy. Colin Moran has 1000 plate appearances and a career war of 0.6. He isnt getting any better than that. As the esteemed slappy Brown has frequently said, what is the point of him? Even if he gets incrementally better, he will be upgraded from “replacement player, therefore has no value” to “maybe someone that wont be a complete detriment to a playoff contending team.” Even if he gets better, he will not fetch anything in a trade. Ditto with polanco.

You answered your own question. Nobody else wants Colin **** Moran either

Moran is about as hateable as it gets. He's got the electricity of a birthday candle. His blend of boring and suck perfectly matches his stupid face.

He’s a good pinch hitter, and he can be competent for extremely limited time periods as a starter. But the instant you think he’s more than that, he turtles, when tasked with any sort of reliance.

The pirates hate first basemen, starting pitchers and third basemen. What do you expect?
