Negronis are the best. Three ingredients, in equal proportion, and people still screw them up.

I just came in to the possession of a handle of gin. What do people do with these clear liquors? Clearly will be crushing negronis but need to prepare for when I exhaust my Campari supply

French 75
Martinis (and, of course, the Vesper)
G&T
Gimlets
Singapore Sling
Gin is a good cocktail base because it's so aromatic from the botanicals.

Buy more Campari.

I've always liked American wines better than French wines. Even though I don't drink wine. I just like the way they look.

Bought my first campari and vermouth because of this comment. Made some amateur negroni for the first time. And, God, this is what gin was made for. It reminds me that i had it at an Italian restuarant in state college and loved it but never followed up. Thanks for the inspirationI just came in to the possession of a handle of gin. A mention of gin in the summertime reminds me that it's been summer for more than a month, but I've yet to buy any Pimm's No. 1 (based on a gin) and lemonade and make some fruit cups. I think I'll remedy that this weekend.

I am presently enjoying my first homemade negroni, and I am happy.

Picked up some Old Grandad at the ABC store. Always looking to try that middle bargain bourbon brand. Elijah Craig is my go-to but decided to try something different

As a bourbon fan and an enjoyer of Elijah Craig, good luck with the Old Grandad. I found it be harsh.

I was trying to find a good budget bourbon, and bought a handle of Evan Williams. I must say, I am impressed. Obviously not as smooth as, say, Elijah Craig, but it is solid.

Four Roses (especially the small batch) and Bulleit are both solid for the price. I'm a Woodford Reserve fan as well.I was trying to find a good budget bourbon, and bought a handle of Evan Williams. I must say, I am impressed. Obviously not as smooth as, say, Elijah Craig, but it is solid.

Pushing to the 40-50 range I've really enjoyed Old Elk (better than Calumet) Bluebird Four Grain and Longbranch
