RHS. Real question is why rude beetle is in now over Riikola
Beetle is a RHS and we’ve gone with 2 righties since Letang went down.

Watched the highlights this morning with my 3 and 6 year old. 6 year old said "Why did Murray do that daddy?"

I don’t get Galchenyuk. I like how he looks out there. He plays a more gritty and “big” game than I thought he would. He seems to make the little plays and is smart but damn man you need to score. He’s so snake-bit but it’s crazy. Just through the eye test he seems like a guy you want on your team but his price tag demands he scores.

Yeah. I don't hate his game so far but he eventually needs to score. Hoping once he breaks the seal they'll come in bunches

If he doesn't score soon we can still unload him as part of the Gaudreau package.

How good has Marino been?? Nothing is better in a cap league when entry level guys step up big when key guys get hurt. He might hit a speed bump or two along the way (NHL schedule is ridiculous compared to what he's used to) but he is here to stay.

And, once again Sully inexplicably loves him some Trotman. He's absolute garbaj. I actually heard a commentator call him a good puck mover during the previous game. Fortunately Letang appears to be ready, so ONE WOULD THINK Trotman will be scratched tomorrow....

Oh come on. Trotman over literally anyone else? Sometimes I don’t get this coaching staff.

Ruhwedel hasn’t exactly played well in his short time with the big club.

First two games since February. Of course he hasn’t played well. I don’t give two **** shits about handedness, that lineup spot should be Riikola’s until Schultz is back. **** Sullivan’s illegitimate son Trotman back to the A where he belongs.

I don't know what Riikola does wrong. Trotman steps in and plays like 18 minutes right off the hop...he was also asked to go rescue McCann from the locker room when he was fake ejected, which is normally something a lesser player would do...he's a weird and stinky b*tch...

Re: Galchenyuk. He is a UFA at the end of the season. Any chance that we can get him on the cheap if he continues to play ok, but not score? And do we want him back for $4-5 millions?

It is probably too early to discuss new contracts, but a lot of players will probably be getting more expensive contracts in the summer...

Depends on what kind of value he shows. He's on a three year deal coming off of a 44-point season and he's played for a team a year since getting it...I'm not sure what kind of leverage he'll have if he lays an egg with a sub-10 goal season and less than 40 points...especially if Malkin is a leading linemate...

It's a two-way street though...if we were to offer him a one-year deal after a crap season and say, "hey, if you believe in yourself, and you want to get rich, you can get rich with Geno probably..." but it's also easy for him to read the tea leaves and go, "nah, the Isles will give me 4x4 and I'll just take the $16 mil guaranteed and not worry about it..."

I just can't see him sticking around. He was expected to bring some sort of scoring touch to help replace Kessel's output and he has one goal in 15 games. We have plenty of players who can skate on a line with Malkin and pot one in 15.
