More believable than bringing back steel and coal jobs...
Steel jobs have actually stopped declining and have actually increased. So this is half true as political fact checkers would say.
U.S. Steel confirmed Friday that it had initiated a round of layoffs tied to a restructuring that the Pittsburgh-based steelmaker announced early last month.

The company declined to disclose the number of people let go. It said the layoffs — all nonunion positions — affected operations nationwide, including in Pittsburgh.

“We need to truly become a leaner, more efficient organization faster,” U.S. Steel said in an emailed statement.

Cool story. US Steel isn’t the only steel producer in the USA.

Re those Triggered reviews

Top promoted review title: THIS IS THE BEST BOOK EVER WRITTEN (emphasis theirs), and their entire review is in all-caps. There is another 5-star review from someone who claims they are three chapters in. There are two entire pages of 5-star reviews posted on the release date of the book, including one from a person calling themselves 'happy customer' whose other reviews include two separate 5-star 'verified purchase' reviews of MAGA hat purchases from two different sellers (complete with different verbiage in each, so it wasn't a copy-paste thing) both on the same day Triggered was released.

Then there is another review, a 1-star that's entitled "Honestly, the best book Trump Jr's ever written."

Edit: TL beat me to the punch re DisneyDenizen's contribution lol
Sad news, apparently don’s book tour got Disrupted at UCLA by a bunch of alt-righters, they are feuding with tpusa for not being racist enough.

Today's the first time I've ever heard about Amazon reviews and book reviews in general being spiked by paid reviewers and interns at the book company.

Can you imagine reading that book?
Five star review (113 reviews so far).

I guess Freddy missed this post, obviously no one would be arbitrarily jumping on Don Jr's amazon book reviews.

If there was a book about the imbeciles at the end of the habsburg line, that would be a better fit.

Every once in a while the political thread has some gems. This is one of them. Love me some Mitch Albom

Shooting him, and you should see the aftermath where they were basically rolling him on the ground and sitting him up with a bullet in his spine.

Pffft. You call that a police shooting? It sounds like they only fired three shots total. US cops would have shot both protesters at least 10 times each and then dogpiled them and beaten them while yelling "stop resisting."

Amateurs.

Is Jentleson on Warren’s payroll? I’ve never heard of him except for dragging the moderates to pump Warren’s tires this last week. Certainly never heard of Deval.

It’s a joke that these guys are trying to get in after four debates. WTF do they think they can accomplish.
