Had Buf/Arz 1P over (hit), Jack Eichel scores + Sabres win (+320) and Jeff Skinner scores + Sabres win (+380). Buffalo goes up 2-0 in the 1st on goals by Eichel and then Skinner. Arizona comes back and ties it at 2-2. Game goes to overtime. The Sabres hit the crossbar three times in OT and lose 1-0 in a shootout...what a bunch of dumb spigots...

Yep, I had the Sabres too. Their shootout attempts would have been better off tried by bantam players. The first goal Hutton allowed in the 1st period was a sharp angle nothingburger that he failed to hold the post on. Just a kick in the jewels.

Also played the numbers and went under first period for Panthers-Canucks at +125. That lasted about 5 minutes.

Yeah, I was filing some reports and not watching the Van/Fla game. At about 10:45 ET I checked the score just to see how few goals were scored...bang, 5-1. On the plus side, I had picked up Alexander Edler that morning in fantasy...three apples and a +4, so I'll keep the change on that at least...

I can't believe Buffalo didn't win in OT...that's really costly and dumb...

Argh. At the beginning of the world series I made a bet that the Nats would win game 1 but the Astros would win the series (+550). It worked out swell except now I'm doubting the Astros for game 7, so I hedged it a little bit

2 straight nights, I have a team yak a big 3rd period lead to screw me out of cash. Last night, it was the Avs and tonite, it was the Preds. Unreal.

Preds cost me...that evens out the miracle -2.5 that the Stars covered when down 3-1 to Minnesota after 2 the other night though...

Thru November 10. This matrix is based on an over/under 1.5 for the first period. Vegas is starting to adjust a little and putting a few games at 2 in this last week. I'm going to keep the base result at 1.5 goals for consistency.

Sick brag went 7-0 last sunday which included four 3 & 4 team parlays. 4-0 in Maction Tuesday and last night. Nailed the Guentzel goal and the over on Tuesday. Only loss suffered was a 1H failed cover on MNF.

Even sicker brag I had the self control to cash it out instead of carry it over and lose it all this weekend.

You lost me at "cash it out"...

(way to go, nicely done)

I've been working on correct scores in hockey...this may be a re-post. But about 28% or 29% of all games end either 3-2 or 4-3. So based on the respective team tactics, I bet those exact scores (on both sides). Often they pay +1700 to +3500, so you just scatter them about a Tue/Thu/Sat night and just hit one to be up money...

Another 1st period over/under update...keep in mind these numbers are based on a 1.5 goal total. Vegas has adjusted for some games and moved lines to 2, though I've noticed that a lot of the times it goes to 2, under is a big favorite and often comes in.

Got the Bills at +6 last week and Bears +3 at home tonight

How's this for a Saturday...?

Parlay 1:
Oklahoma, Clemson, Ohio State (3 for 3)

Parlay 2:
Sabres, Lightning, Penguins, Panthers, Hurricanes, Predators, Flames (6 for 7, Buffalo lost in OT...but I had a round robin at 6, so I was ok)

Parlay 3:
Panthers pl, Lightning pl, Hurricanes pl, Penguins pl, Predators pl (5 for 5, plus the 4 bet round robin underneath it)

Cleared a nice little four digit chunk of change, which I didn't even realize until I was out drinking after midnight because I had to coach in the 7 pm slot (won that game too, 8-0)...needless to say, drinks were on me last night...

I almost don’t believe you

What are the odds for all of those?

How do you talk yourself into betting 3 digits when you don't even know the names of the teams playing?

You don't get rich by not betting...that's how. It's super simple.

On the flip side, I keep a limit on my account that I don't have too much money in it at one time...that way I'm not tempted to make bigger and bigger bets. I have a cut off, once my roll exceeds that, I siphon it off into my bank account...
