Wow, how cool is that? McKees Rocks of all places.
No kidding. He's at Mr Smalls next week doing a sample and Q&A about it. That Roxian Theater looks awesome
How didn't I know about this?

$8.65 in fees for a $20 ticket? You ****ing vultures. Eh, I'm still in. Ticket purchased.

And they did an amazing job with the Roxian. Was there a few weeks ago for a show. Parking situation kinda sucks, but besides a parking lot behind the theater that holds maybe 50 cars it's no different than Mr. Smalls.

This song was played during halftime on MNF earlier this week.

Never mind that it is about teenagers doing sex and taking drugs, this is probably one of the catchiest melodies/choruses I've heard in years.

uh, that is terrible and the beat sounds like a ripoff of Michael Jackson. Those kids need better drugs if that's what is acceptable in todays music.

Yeah, the non-stop auto-tuning is an instant turn-off from me. Here's some ear medicine:

That Charlie Puth song sounds like something someone with frosted tips would enjoy.

Finished Dave Weigel's book on Prog Rock and it is basically a really long Wikipedia article.

But like a wiki piece I learned a lot of info, just no real why questions answered.

Also did the Moody Blues die in 1967? Because they get almost no mention after that.

I really need to get into King Crimson. I randomly came across one of their songs in a "shuffle all" playlist at work and really liked it.

Randomly, I'm enjoying getting my 13 year old into music. He of course likes hip-hop, but has always loved the Beatles. I got him turned on to Green Day, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Hendrix, Led Zeppelin. It's really cool.

Larks' Tongue in Aspic (Part 1)

I really liked the drumming, and was excited to see it was Bill Bruford.

That's popped up on Phish radio once or twice (the members have a "Here's what I like to listen to" segment that plays a song by not-Phish occasionally). The keys player was a big King Crimson fan.

I am a fan of Court of the Crimson King.

I love Rick Wakeman's solo stuff, especially The Wives of King Henry.

Wakeman's RRHOF induction acceptance speech was a dad joke masterclass.

Billy Strings - Turmoil and Tinfoil album is terrific. A little behind on this guy, but man am I having fun listening to his stuff now

Sturgil Simpson - Sound & Fury. I dig that he's doing his thing and there is a lot I liked about this album, but some of it is pretty forgettable for me.
