Ole Mr. 66 himself on waivers? That's a shame.

The Ducks have no offense. Had no offense. And will have no offense. And yet Sprong didn't make the team...one goal short of being second on the team in ES goals last year despite playing half the season, and couldn't win 1 of 8-10 winger spots...he must be a donkey to work with...

What the **** happened in the Sharks-Knights game yesterday? 114 penalty minutes. Multiple game misconducts. Kane booted for abuse of officials. This sounds like a good time wasted on a preseason game.

I am not a “I told you so” kind of guy, but :gestures broadly at Sprong being on waivers:

I can't see that, but if it's about Comrie...I'm assuming that means Raanta is once again injured badly...he'd be a top ten goalie if he could stay healthy...

Dahlstrom and Comrie claimed, yes.

I forgot about him and drafted Kuemper in a fantasy league this year so... fingers crossed.I can't see that, but if it's about Comrie...I'm assuming that means Raanta is once again injured badly...he'd be a top ten goalie if he could stay healthy...

I forgot Kuemper was still in the league...in my head, it was Raanta/A.Hill...so...hmph...
I'll assume Comrie is back on waivers in about a month...

I’m the past couple days I’ve come to the conclusion that personally I would put MAF in the HoF.

This late career resurgence is building a small case for him...but the HHOF is really tough on goaltenders...there's only like 36 goaltenders that are in...
Now, that includes some fringe guys like Gerry Cheevers or Eddie Giacomin...but it also kept out a lot of guys for a while, Rogie Vachon didn't get in for a couple decades, Barrasso is still not in (which is justifiable), Vanbiesbrouck isn't in, Curtis Joseph isn't in...
I guess where you might want to start is this group: Vanbiesbrouck, Barrasso, CuJo, Luongo, Fleury...I'd rank them and see where you're at...because not all of them are going...

I am unconvinced his consistent best puts him in the HoF... but longevity, the sheer number of games and wins and personality might get him there.

He's 8th in wins now and will almost certainly be 3rd, maybe 2nd when all is said and done... GOOD GOD HE TURNS 35 IN NOVEMBER

I think longevity should be weighted very heavily. I think he should be in.

Jesus, lot of goalie talk today...way to make me soft on opening night...but...
Do you weigh longevity...hell, let's even call it "volume"...for the goaltending position more than any other? Is it akin to RBs vs QBs in the NFL? RBs don't get a chance at a 12 year career that often...every top 15 QB in the league can last that long easily...?
