 It's the thread of illnesses and ailments, not lollipops and rainbows. Many illnesses and ailments are, in fact, gross. That's that makes them illnesses and ailments. If they were fun or enjoyable they wouldn't be ailments.

I also likely have thick skin on this topic because multiple members of my family are or were doctors and nurses, and growing up there would literally be discussions around the dinner table and during family gatherings of gross medical stuff.

I've never had an ingrown hair (or nail) in my life. Is that not normal?

The first dinner that I had with my in-laws, my brother in law described his bowel movement that morning as “much like peanut butter... creamy though, so that’s good.”

It was completely unprompted.

Me: Damn, my stomach has felt funny all day.
Also me: Ohhhhh. A Polish buffet at the neighborhood bar.

Basically came to say I am my own ailment.

Sometimes your stomach wants to fight and you gotta teach it a lesson.

For the last 4 days I haven't felt 100%. But not totally sick either. Just achy, little bit feverish at times, abd tired.

Just blew my nose and a booger the size of a golf ball and texture of jello came out. My God it felt amazing.

Started a two week round of prednisone last night to begin an alternative treatment plan for incurable shitty ankle and hopefully avoid surgery. Never been on this stuff before. I guess I’ll sleep in September.

Good luck

I know if those were my two options, I would run...well, hobble to the day surgery center before the doctor was finished talking.

Prednisone isn’t a terrible medicine.

My wife will forever take Coumadin. Her dad has been on it for 30 years.

It’s been fine, it was just a sleepless night. I’m sure it’ll improve as I taper down.

I never feel better than when I’m on prednisone. Like in every single way.

Just had my tooth pulled and a bone graft done in preparation for my implant. A soft diet for 2+ weeks isn't going to be fun except for when I treat myself to ice cream for dinner.

I’d find some time for good mashed potatoes too.

And meatloaf is pretty soft.

Just got my flu shot for the year. I've now been injected with mercury, the government can control my mind, and I have autism. But I won't get the flu (maybe) so I've got that going for me.

Holy hell... I'll tell yinz this: the flu shot hurts this year. I could barely lift my arm above my shoulder most of the day yesterday and it's still sore into today.
